Attack Iran? What for? Because some loon stole the leadership and publicly makes negative comments about the existence of Israel? Because they see Israel as a threat...and the USA now BTW...and don't want "Cowboy Diplomacy" or Zionist Protectionism engaged in their general direction?

Who REALLY thinks the population of Iran supports that lunatic leader of theirs? Anyone? No? Me either. I doubt the general population wants war with anyone.

As for the peanut-gallery comments by this theivin' little prick, who cares...let 'im blow off his hot air...he's through and he knows it. He got in last time by the skin of his yellowing teeth, and had to squelch a nice little demonstration to do it. So if he likes to say crap like "Israel must go"...let 'im. Hell I think Israel is an abomination...gonna blow me up?

    Bottom Line:
Iran is a non-issue. An amusement for Special Forces agents...nothing more.
Politically...the WISE thing to do is to approach this situation like a Mafia Don.

"Keep your friends close...and your enemies closer."

In a thread titled don't attack Iran, talking about the nations that might attack Iran is off topic ?

I've seen this "off topic defense" used a bit too much in my short time here is this normal at this forum to try to push arguments one cannot counter out of the discussion with this stupid accusation ?

Ssh; you must NEVER mention Israel in anything less than hushed, respectful tones-remember, they are 'chosen', sacrosanct and beyond criticism...

Do otherwise at your peril; the Hasbaras have their little book of responses-'anti-Semite', 'Jew-hater', 'terror-enabler'. Your choice.

Are we debating in a vacuum here? NO.
You can't discuss Iran without discussing other countries, including:

    USA
    Israel
    Iraq

Speiilgood, are you a mod here??? Why no, you're not.

Yes! Please Invade Iran! While USA gets bogged down in another War front, the Russians and Chinese can profit from supplying the insurgency.

Post #162 showed a list of UN resolutions targeting israel, which have NOTHING to do with a thread about iran.

    Do try to keep up.

    Another talented poster.

I referred to a post on UN resolutions on israel, which have NOTHING to do on an attack against iran.

How come every time a thread opens up about the failings of an arab muslim state, the same cabal of muslim fascists always try to bring the focus onto israel?

You do realize an attack on Iran was the thread topic right?

As SEVERAL posters have pointed out, the issue is Israel being very much involved in the threats to Iran. The reponse of UN resolutions is a response to the, "Israel has never done anything wrong!" crowd that attempts to use emotion to block any serious discussion of Israel.

There are SEVERAL posters argueing that it would be a bad idea to attack Iran, even if Iran really is wrong.

You appear to support an attack on Iran, but screaming, "DON'T TALK ABOUT ISREAL," is not offering much it terms of rationale in justifying an attack.

On the contrary, it looks like blind adherance to Israeli policy with no critical thought at all.

So please, EXPLAIN, why you think Israel is justified in attacking Iran?

The question is not flame bait or a lie.

    Good post..........

There are HUGE repercussions to attacking Iran for both the US and the Europeans not to mention China and Russia which flatly oppose such a unilateral preemptive strike.

There is NO immediate danger to Israel or anyone else..

Whether israel's past record is positive or negative has no more to do with iran than whether madagascar's past record is positive or negative. It is a separate country from iran, and no where near it.

I would be thrilled to discuss israel's past record of behavior in a thread devoted to it, which is not the case in this thread.

On the contrary, it appears that all muslim fascists adhere to the same nonsense, when cornered and exposed for hideous behavior: blame/attack israel and turn the focus on it.

Iran is the world's #1 terror state and peace in the middle east is impossible as long as its current fake, illegitimate regime of murderers exists. It is fomenting wars across the middle east, is running one of the world's largest gulags of political prisoners, and is in violation of FOUR UNSC resolutions demanding it cease enriching uranium, as well as additional ones requiring that it stop funding and arming terrorist groups.

    Anything else?

Some would argue that Israel is a terror state...... considering their track record in Palestine..

The point is that there is no rush to bomb the Iranians because Israel is afraid of what MIGHT happen.. or if they might get the bomb.

It is perfectly relevant to a pointed question asked by whiney demands.

Once again, Israel is threatening to attack Iran. Israel has its own checkered history with the UN - so why does Iran's current miff with the UN justify an attack?

Are you sure you want to sign up for that? Because the next UN resolution that passes critical of Israel means we have to attack them too.

That is what that has to do. THe inability, or obstinate refusal, to make a clear connection everyone else can is poor form.

    See above.

Yep, everyone who think using violence to solve an issue taht diplomacy may solve is clearly a Muslim Facist.

There is indeed some hideous bahevior, only its coming from the super victims.

The number one terrorist state is Pakistan. It has repeatedly been called the epicenter of Islamic Terrorism, and it is no accident at all the Bin Laden and company came out of Pakistan controlled areas of Afghanistan rather than Iran.

No one says Iran is a good guy, the arguement is about whether we should attack them - with a bunch of strikes that will have consequences.

Its amazing how the people more eager for a fight are not the ones that have to fight. Bravery and honor are not found in shrill accusation.

If you think an attack is justified, then kindly lay out the rational for it, whether you think it can be successful, what the likely consequence will be and how you would mitigate it?

SCreaming for blood is just a mob action, and no military planner would ever sign up for that - even the Israelis.

Yep, just waiting for a coherent response.

Actually terrorist state # 1 is the U.S.
Their crime-subversive programs to the collapse of the Soviet Union, the bombing of Yugoslavia, the illegal invasion and war in Iraq and Afghanistan and other crimes around the world.
So let them start in Iran.
More than they get stuck there, the better.

Yep, as opposed to Chechnya, Czecheslovakia, Hungary, Afghanistan?

All of those were legal - not the US.

And therefore, what pakistan is doing in the federally administered tribal belt is just fine.

Chechnya is part of Russia there was a constitutional order.
As for Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Afghanistan that was appropriate official request for the governments of these countries.
U.S. to Iran, one not invited.

Yep, and our had UN mandates.

I think it is safe to say that neither country has always gotten things right, but Russia acting in its interests in no more evil than we are - and the opposite is equally true.

A government that deliberately grows a force of extremists, exports them to a neighboring country(ies) and allows them to foster similiar camp that spread into China, the -stan countries, begins attacking Middle Eastern Countries, and then launches several attacks in Russia, the Uk, and the US?

Yep, that is terrorism - its epicenter is in Pakistan - just as it was when they favored Hekmatyar, a raping murderer, over guys like Masood. Guess who they continue to favor today?

The USA isn’t tricked into anything. How many times does it take for a fact to become imprinted into the propaganda challenged ‘Pro Arab’ ‘anti everything western’ brains? The USA protects and asists Israel because we are Israel of the west. The USA has full knowledge of what they are doing when they support our beloved Israel. Get used to it. As long as there is a vote in America and as long as politicians want to get reelected, as long as Christians are 70-80% of the population, we will be a reincarnation of Israel.

As I have said before we, the church acts as a receiver for a conduit from the supernatural atemporal realm of God to the tangible real world (our temporal world). Instead of miracles helping Israel in the supernatural manner of biblical times the miracle of today is that the USA exists to protect Israel. Our country was raised as a secular by law but Christian by population nation to support Israel as an archangel would. Israel is not the only thing we are expected to do, we are to do God will, which includes charitable actions. For example many there are hundreds of Christian humanitarian missions, there are hospitals for the poor and disadvantaged, there are feeding and medical aid stations in Africa and other improvished countries to name a few good things. However, we should not assist prophesy being fulfilled unless it's clearly requested by scripture. Prophesy will fulfill itself as history demonstrates.

Lastly, the only thing to remember is that the USA and to a lesser extent the west is Israel’s avenging if necessary archangel. I would advise any nation to tread lightly. If Iran would calm the rhetoric, allow unhindered inspections of its so called peaceful nuclear activities to ensure its keeping that promise not attempt to build a bomb they have no worries about being attacked by Israel/USA.

That's right, the UN cobbled together some facts-on-the-ground acceptance of a puppet government as the only route forward following the illegal invasion by two of its top five .

    Yes, there was.

You can nash your teeth about it, but a good lawyer will say, "Yep, good enough."

But if you are going to call American a bunch of terrorists based on this NOT being good enough?

Not too mention, the lot of the people making that stupid claim, seem nary at all concerned about what JAM and AQI were doing in Iraq. Nor do they seem to care too much about it now for that matter.

This is bollox. There is no confirmation of the legality of invasion in the link you have provided- nor any other link, as there was never any UN mandate for it.

You can pay or cajole your own legal team to say whatever you want it to say- as the UK creepies did- but they are currently under inquiry.
