    And yet, for some strange reason, people think that it is "unconstitutional" for red flag laws to be enforced even though the person will have due process involved. Ironic isn't it?

    that is not what ethics is.

    Keep in mind, government keeps the big fish away while you, the small fish, are free to do about your business as long as you don't cross certain lines. Without government, then the big fish will have no qualms in exercising their power to the nth degree which means they have no ethics.

    How is it due process if the cops take your guns as the first step in that process? You can't punish people preemptively for crimes that have yet to be committed.

    they still have no problem OBTAINING firearms. and we spend millions and millions and millions on ineffective schemes that we all knew wouldn't work in the first place

    Incidentally the GCA of '68 facilitated the production of a particular notorious firearm- that being The Raven Pistol. You see the GCA of '68 outlawed the import of small fixed sight semiautomatic pistols such as the Baby Browning and Sterling pistols.- Then an American engineer said - "Forget the GCA, we will build them here". - and a new foe of the gun-grabbers was invented- the Raven pistol , the quintessential Saturday Night Special....

    Probably the only legitimate business government ever "created".

    the clinton magazine bans caused makers such as Glock to scale down the 15 and 17 round handguns to firearms that used 10 round magazines. Far more concealable, the disgusting VPC complained about these "pocket rockets" that could accommodate easily available pre ban 17 round magazines and had the same firepower as their much bigger cousins. DUH we told those scum-just like what we told Feinswine when gun makers took the bayonet lugs and flash hiders off of AR rifles and continued to sell them

    "The right of The People shall not be infringed" - sounds pretty absolute to me. What definition you got for the word "infringed"? Or, perhaps you believe "shall not be" means "absolutely will be".

    lots of red flag laws are not ones that safeguard due process. and those who abuse these laws need to get serious (like ten years) hard prison time
