Am I wrong to be thinking that many Jewish scholars and thinkers have serious inclinations to Eventual Universal Salvation?

Well, I think if you go by Gospels, it's pretty clear that "Eventual Universal Salvation" doesn't exist.

If you want to talk about Jewish beliefs, many of them do not believe in an afterlife, many are really not that sure, some believe there will be an eventual physical resurrection of the body (mostly only for those who deserve it), and many do believe in an afterlife. There is a great variety of different belief within Judaism on this. However, the thing about Judaism is that belief in an afterlife is not anywhere near as important as it is in Christianity. You might have Jews in the same synagogue who hold different beliefs about it. That would not be too uncommon.
