“The University of Washington School of Medicine is looking for people who have tested positive for COVID-19 to participate in a clinical trial aimed at finding out whether a controversial antimalarial drug called hydroxychloroquine can keep them from having to be hospitalized. . . . The $5.8 million trial is funded by the COVID-19 Therapeutics Accelerator, an initiative launched by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Wellcome and Mastercard, with support from an array of public and philanthropic donors.”​

This seems more promising than waiting until they’re at death’s door on a ventilator to try it.

Trump should publicly praise Bill Gates for this trial, just to throw the press into confusion.

I suggest you investigate the meaning of the word “science” you throw around. It isn’t what you have been led to believe.

 

A survey of what doctors think is not science.
A double blind study is not only science, it is the only ethical way to determine whether a drug is effective and its benefits outweigh the side effects.

 

A normal dosage is 200 mg as a preventative taken once a week.
A kill dosage when you have active malaria is 400 mg taken once.
The tests used 400-900 mg daily for 10 days.
Doctors recommend not taking any malaria preventative if you intend to live in a malaria endemic area for more than 6 months because it's worse on the body to take anti malarials for that long than the occasional case of malaria. I get it a couple times a year.
I do not know the treatment Lupus patients go through but the Lupus Association says that there are Lupus patients who have contracted covid-19. There are not enough cases of either to make assumptions on Lupus patients being less or more likely to die from Covid-19.
