You must have missed the jump in murder rates between the time handgun bans went into effect and when they were struck down. Your faith in gun restrictions reducing murders doesn't seem to be supported. So, why should Americans give up their right to self defense for for speculations? Fortunately we aren't, more states have become Constitutional carry states, and more people - women and people of color in particular - are becoming legal gun owners.

 

If a woman's life is endangered by her pregnancy then, IMO, abortion is justified and not immoral. Killing her baby because her life might be inconvenienced is a selfish, immoral act.
