It is just the question of time if Putin's regime disappeared, but, thereafter Russia will need lots of political leaders and probably officials. E.g. both United Germany where the entirely politically system went from the West including lotsa politicians. The same strategy should be applied in Russia which suffers lack of politicians with completely western mindset. Probably the US should start a program for preparation new generation of Russian politicians who will came after Putin and ending of his regime.Unfortunately many currently policymakers in Russia are either too dumb or too corrupt, too nationalist or too liberal. It would not a too expensive investiture in the stable Russia, in return Russia and USA can became sometimes friends.

The Problem is that Russia is not capable to save itself after Putin's Regime gotta go.Where Russia will get hundred thousands of well-educated officials or politicians? Sorry, but how Russia without help from outside will became a country with the free enterprise economy and democracy? At best Russia should copy American Republican Political System of the Free Society without big gov't and with maximum liberty for its citizens.

If you ask Russians that probably 99,999% will prefer to have the life quality like in the US and the Western Europe. That's the Answer. Russia chose to go destination the free market economy, but instead of that it created new Zimbabwe.

By the way most of Russians are against Putin's highly corrupted Regime of Thieves. But they have no other choice because almost everything is prohibited in Russia, even the Free Walking Duma is preparing Law about.

Blatant lie, which is not backed by facts. Only empty words!
Probably? This is your assumption. And only. I live in this country. I am not a supporter of Putin. Do you know about this. But I respect him because they raised the country from the ruins, after Yeltsin (a friend of the West), who threw the country into the abyss.
Yeltsin was a Liberal. A weak leader, a traitor and an alcoholic. He was friends with the West and signed trade agreements, which were to the detriment of Russia. I do not want a friendship with west. I want a partnership that can only be achieved if Russia will be a strong leader.
By the way! Today's opposition, the product of the Yeltsin era!

Putin is twenty times more liberal as Yeltsin and has had too much time to rebuild Russia.

Unfortunately Russia is still governed by former communists who can only steal and damage, but not develop and build.

Where are Russian manufacturing, army, wealth, science, etc. etc. etc.?
Even the last plain Suhoy is crashed.

    Only KGB, police and pipelines.

Russia should be a Free Republic with small government, liberty and free market.
Putin know nothing about and is totally clueless because he was not taught in his KGB school.

Russia can be strong again, but without Putin and his kleptocracy and with the Help of the US.

Liberal? Putin could be anyone, but he is far from liberal. For me, not a revelation that you do not understand the meaning of the word.

Putin is more worst as liberal because his Regime deliberately destroys economy and manufacturing in Russia.
Why families of the most Russian politicians and officials live already in the Western countries with stolen by Russians $$$ billions?Probably because they know that Putin's Russia has not any smallest chance to survive later as three or five years.
