The issue was your claim about the business community. How are the business community involved in the Biden administration's border policy?

 

The plan is for Biden to close the border without tying it to other bills and without spending more money. He has that ability but it is not on his leftist agenda. No obstruction.....Biden is playing the games. (Or I should say "his handlers") He has not the wherewithal to do anything.

You're gaslighting the forum. Anyone who has travelled around Europe by car knows what it means to have open borders between countries.

I think we could have an open border with Canada, but I would object because I don't think they're serious enough about internal and external security. The bad guys are really after us, not Canada. Their security efforts are around their needs. That's not good enough because we're the main target.

We have to shut off asylum from Mexico. We can't accept them waving people through to our border and then accept the people they put on our doorstep. Are some of them deserving people? Of course. Would they become good citizens? Many would. But we don't know who these people are.

As well, there are deserving people all over the world. Canada has a points system that gets them the best immigrants.

We can't accept everyone who wants to come here. So, we have to defend the border, but we also need to identify those who overstay visas, sneak into the country--those here who shouldn't be. We should have a national ID we can use for visitor visas. Employers can use a smartphone to check on every potential employee, even day labor.

All those pictures prove to me is that America is still a prime spot and attracts more people. Border examples in the EU is no example at all. They’re border policies among individual countries within the EU is like our policies among states. I agree on the asylum comment though
