Many of the chemicals, processes and equipment used in rocketry classify under ATF 'rules' as 'destructive devices' and require special permitting to own and use. That permitting is subject to special regulations, such as hiring people who pass a federal background check, which probably includes greencard holdholers. This is the same class of permits to build/buy/sell machine guns and artillery, btw, its all the same 'destructive devices' as far as the govt is concerned. Its not SpaceX's fault that bureaucratic laziness is unwilling to make a distinction between hiring an undocumented foreign national to work around separation charges, for example, which use high explosives, and giving a foreign national a machine gun. Everyone wants background checks for weapons, right? This is part of having background checks for weapons. I mean, I know everyone thinks 'weapons' is just guns, but it doesn't work that way when it comes to policy and law. Most weapons arent guns, and most weapons and 'destructive devices' have necessary industrial applications that are effected by 'reasonable restrictions' like background checks.

 

What is so special about illegal immigrants? And why are Democrats always front and center in giving the children's food to the dogs as it were? Their reasoning and values are upside down. And I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that he is telling the truth. It seems realistic and reasonable.

I have no view on the Space X vs DOJ issue here, as we clearly are all missing some info.

What is interesting is how all pretence has now been dropped by the right.
Remember in 2016 when most republicans ran on "I'm not anti immigration, I just support the 'right' way of immigration" and many would invoke their families personal paths to citizenship? You know "I am all for it, as long as it is done properly". And here we have all this venom against asylees and refugees. By definition an asylee is someone who has been granted asylum, and the US has recognised and accepted refugees legally,in one form or another, since 1891.
So aren't these the 'right' immigrants who have done this the right way? They have gone through the administrative steps, been accepted, and have filed for working papers which they are allowed to have by law.
So thank you for being so transparent now: you don't hate the illegal imlmigrants, you hate ALL immigrants.
