New York City Schools have for a long time understood that holding classes on certain days on the calendar is difficult because people are celebrating religious holidays. Now one more religion will get equality. They will add two more Muslim holidays to the list. I think this is a good thing. No one should have to choose between their religious obligation and education when it is an easy thing to fix.

Will they honor Buddhists, Hindu's and all the others also or are these liberal freaks only bowing down before Islam?

Follow their leader Obama I suppose huh?

Good for them. It's a smart move. Let people observe days of religion.

"The Mayor and Chancellor made this announcement at PS/IS 30 in Brooklyn, where 36 percent of students were absent the last time Eid al-Adha fell on an instructional day."
Seems to me that this is going to be an educational problem, might as well let people observe the day. Also, nice job bringing Obama into a thread he has no part of.

Because if the message has a bad part in it, it ruins the rest of the post. As for your question, taking a good guess but they probably already observe Hindu, Buddhist holidays where there's a sizable majority of people observing those religions.

Never mind American tradition. Let's be politically correct.

All we have to do is to make every Friday (Muslim) equal to Saturday (Jewish) and Sunday (Christian). Then violence will stop.

Cant be equality until the Odinist holidays are met

    that would be every

Tuesday: Tiw's Day. Tiw, or Tyr, was a Norse god known for his sense of justice.
Wednesday: Woden's Day. Woden, or Odin, was a Norse god who was one of the most powerful of them all.
Thursday: Thor's Day. Thor was a Norse god who wielded a giant hammer.
Friday: Frigg's Day. Frigg was a Norse god equal in power to Odin.

No work and free stuff for everyone! yay
