Indeed. Very concise and to the point.

What? I haven't stated there are no 'Churches'. In fact, I specifically mentioned "houses in which to entertain the ideology" and "congregations", which all refer to churches.

    That's what the studies reveal.

Not by public schools, but they are denied access to many private schools. There are plenty of people who'd like to see more god in the public schools too, and they wouldn't have a problem requiring people to profess faith to get in if not for the first amendment.

They can often lose their jobs if they mention they're atheists in many parts of the country. The South, for example.

Yes, but according to the law on the books, atheists aren't allowed to serve on juries, hold public office, or even act as witnesses to crimes in several states. In practice those laws are not enforceable, but only because the federal government protects their rights with the first amendment.

Not all discrimination requires immediate identification.

Oh, I quote the actual study which says 'not trusted' rather than 'dispised' and I am wrong ... because you say so.

Yeah, I am sure there are loads of atheists who are sending their children to Catholic School. You are victim because you did not apply to something because you are already clearly not going to get in.

    Circular self fulfilling logic.

    Yawn. Bull(*)(*)(*)(*).

An atheist would sue the crap out of anyone who did that. Does the law not apply to atheists? Do they not sue people? RIIIIGGGHHHHTTTT.

As long as you have the excuse though.

What planet do you live on? Because the only real legal issue is the Texas Constitution who made it more difficult, but not impossible to run for Texas Govenor.

However, no one f going to elect someone whose entire platform is about eliminating imagary oppression.

And a lot of descrimination is the result of over active imagination and an ingrained victim mentality.

Hagee is not at all extremist compared to my doctrine. I must say that I agree with most of his material. What is so bad about Hagee? He is not liked by some in the Christian world for advancing the ideas about the USA being joined at the hip with Israel, still I do not see that as extremism.

Falwell is a classical fundamentalist so I don’t follow his sermons nor do I keep up with his claims etc. I already know his sermons and doctrine. I respect Falwell and christian fundamentalism however, it's kind of boring.

Ha ha I said I would edit, by the short incomplete reply I can see why you thought I was referencing countries that had a majority Christianity representation in the population. However I was referencing your primarily atheist country because you said “But if the ideology is absent .. Nothing.” . I interpreted that to mean that in your country you should have no churches etc because it was overwhelming atheistic. If you meant a country that was 100% atheistic there would be nothing ie no churches etc, well that is a given!

I am a Christian and very conservative. Reformed Presbyterian at that! And I have been around on the internet quite a bit just debating and discussing different points of view. I have to say almost nothing I have ever said about God (except for once recently) was received without horrible language or the person just leaving the discussion. If being cussed out is bad enough I get sexual comments and plain rude things said to me. In Communist Russia immediately after it became communist all religious symbols were taken down people who were Christians and continued to be so were brutally murdered. In North Korea Christians who have been found worshiping have been rolled over by steam roller.I communist china Christians have been put in prison camps many murdered in recent years even "licensed" churches have been torn down. So even as I am about to go to church freely I can answer this question I think. In the Bible it says that many will be persecuted an the truth they will try to suppress the truth, those who are evil. And I think history speaks for itself. I blame Darwin! At his time period the theory was illogic- ok I am getting off topic I think I am getting off topic. The answer is that yes there is a God and a Satan and unless you stand with God you will always stand against him.

I see we are kindred souls, save for I am liberal (I detest that word for its political implications) and you conservative. I am not extremely radically liberal say as some preachers now using un- canonized books to preach. I accept Jesus as lord and savior, the ‘son’ of God and feel its best to not to attempt to enter into salvation without him.

I agree that Darwin’s influence which is used on everything, did harm truth. Where I am liberal I do accept most of the tenets of evolution of the species, but not all. For example I do not believe in some aspects speciation, nor do I think, and this has nothing to do with evolution, the origins of life. I do not think abiogenesis should be taught exclusively either. But that is material for another thread. Anyway happy to see you here, the more Christians the better! As for the church and Christians being persecuted I agree! Are you familiar with the voice of the Martyrs? It’s a group that reports on persecution of Christian’s world wide. Check the site out its amazing what we DON’T know how prevalent Christian persecution is in the world today!

Good to see you and that you as well as I confess to be brothers in Christ!

At my church there is a magazine/book stand and the VOM magazines are one of them that are displayed. They are free to read and with every new issue that comes I just have to read it. Isaiah 54!

How very rude that such a obvious you're-either-with-me-or-you're-the-essence-of-evil attitude should foster responses. I can see how reacting to it must be the extremist, despicable behavior that's expected by the godless, liberal spawn of the devil.

I almost started to read this until I got to the "satanically motivated" bit. Satan is just as non-existent as all the other gods and demi-gods and hemi-demi-semi gods.

I can see the super victim cape coming out again.

    1. When atheists question religion, they are the acme of sceintific skepticism.

    2. When someone questions their atheism? Well, they are victims of an unwarranted personal attack.

Because when a Christian says, "That does not make sense," what an atheist hears is, "You are a godless, liberal spawn of the devil!" Very scientific.

Interestingly enough, many Satantists DO publically call themselves atheists.

    So prove it.

Your are an atheist, and I know you think we are all drooling morons, but really, we already know what your opinion is.

How about some of that good old fashioned evidence or logic based reasoning? Prove there is no Devil? No God?

    Go right ahead.

If I were going to invent a religion and put all sorts of crazy things in it like talking snakes, raising people from the dead, and what not I would make absolutely sure to include a "you shall be persecuted for your crazy beliefs" clause, as it would certainly not be good for the longevity of my fictitious religion if people fled at the first sign of friction...or common sense. With a persecution clause, some people would put up with a lot more than they need to because they would say to themslves, "My master said I would be persecuted for believing these weird things and he was right. A true prophet he is!"

Satan is part of YOUR beliefs, not mine. But consider this, if I am under the influence of the devil, it's not my fault. "The devil made me do it." Thus God can not punish me for it. According to your own beliefs, I am innocent.

You just said Satan is not real.

You made a claim, back it up.

Mewling excuses are not evidence or a inferrence based upon reasoning.

Or did the non-existant devil make you make a claim that you cannot support?

Like I said, atheism is totally disconnect from evidence, yet it claims to value it the most. Interesting.

Oh Neutral, you are too easy to troll. I would hope that as much as we've spoken in the past you would know that I'm not that kind of atheist. Clearly, your desire for me to be evil far outstrips your ability to listen to me. How much you need me to be evil. Interesting...

So let me give you a serious answer, that you are probably incapable of hearing it.

I was writing in another thread about how God's omniscience forces all actions. Accepting this premise, either Satan is God or is a part of God or there is no Satan.

The only other possibility is that God and Satan are gods or demi-gods of equal power. But this is of course not really a possibility since allowing that there is a power equal to God dethrones God.

So, I will allow that there might be a Satan if there might be a God since Satan must be at least a part of God.

I mean with respect to Satanic influence. If I do something because Satan has tricked me, it's Satan's fault. Not mine.

I think if he tricked you once, it's his fault, but if he tricks you again, well, I'll let a great man finish the thought for me.

That's the seed of liberalism. no. YOU are to blame. YOu can do the wrong thing which is what satan wants you to do or you can do the right thing. God always gives us an exit from temptation.

Now this would be interesting. I'm being respectful now. Do you have any scripture that would support your remark about you not being accountable for the trickery of satan?

The only way Satan can trick you twice is if you somehow realize he's tricking you.
If we are indeed "tricked" into not believing in him, it is unlikely we'll see otherwise to be "tricked" again.

We obviously lack the information available to be able to see through his tricks.

Of course that's pretty much the same argument behind the Illuminati. How am I supposed to logically tell apart the argument that the devil is real but tricking me about his nonexistence from the idea that a secret world government exists and wants me to think otherwise?

I would admit to this, if Satan was judt another flim-flam artist, but he's supposed to be cosmically magically tricky. What hope have I of spotting his tricks?
