Communism as every extreme ideology is an ill system IMHO. But you can't blame a bad person of your own sins. After the WWII the USSR was mostly interested in recovery after the losses in it and prevention of a new world war. Luckily the soviets built advanced rockets with thermonuclear warheads and a system of imminent counterstrike. This strategy broke the economy of the USSR but at same time it allowed the global peace for decades. Now the politicians have new toys. Primarily it is American politicians.

ANyway after the collapse of the USSR there was no threat of communist revolutions worldover, but the situation didn't change to the good. So if we take this anti-communist propaganda construction it remains false. The only logical system is completely the opposite.
