Feeding My Kids Isn’t Selfish, I’m Not Closing The Salon

That would be the person with kids who she needs to feed that you are talking about ??? I’ve read some asinine things on this forum but that is in a class by itself.

One question I have is what is closed? Food stores are open, hardware stores, most businesses that don't require you to be close to anyone

The person who picks up the virus in that salon then goes out on the street and gives it to somebody just walking by. You have to get the virus from somebody and the idea is to stop the spread.

If we had done this earlier, before it got as bad as it is now, then we might have never had to do this long and strong a lockdown as we probably will. South Korea, as a good example, has never had anything restricted as much as we have and has had far fewer deaths because they acted early and did what they should have instead of ranting at China and restricting travel AFTER the disease had been here for months. SK tested extensively, made sure the hospitals had beds and ventilators and all the personnel had PPE. That way they knew who needed what when and could give it to them.

SK now has 50 millions total population, 255 deaths and 2 new cases yesterday

And you may report me for being anti-Trump but Trump COULD have done what SK did. It would have been a lot easier than what he did do eventually and he STILL has hasn't done what he should have really.

That would be a person who is eligible for very generous unemployment benefits, has gotten $1200 for herself and $500 per kid...and probably got a low interest loan to cover business expenses

It's community spread. Contact tracing might make you feel good and all, but you cannot demonstrate where contraction took place.

You can tell someone ALL day they are eligible, but if they still can't access those benefits, what good is it. Are you really not understanding this? Most states have lagged considerably on being to able to process self empoyed benfits, including NY which you claimed had this working for months, looks like they just got it up and running. So the self employed in most states have received no unemployment yet.

My state of AR did not issue at a stay at home order. It was up to the governors.

What was the mantra in 2008 and 2009, save, have at least 5 month of income saved. Apparently she did not. I would like to see a picture of her vehicle she is paying for. My guess at least 50k vehicle, SUV or Pick-Up. That's probably what she is working for, besides the kids.

 

For about the 150th time, most self employed have still not been able to access unemployement in most states. There are serious delays which means no money yet.
