It was an Obama appointed judge that went all leftist on her. Unfortunately Texas has got a lot of such scum embedded in the judiciary.

 

She didn't do anything that caused anyone to do what they weren't already willing to do; unlike the judge, who forcibly put the salon owner into a covid infected prison, which put her at high risk for getting covid. There is only one truly evil person in this whole story, and that person is the judge.

 

The judge would not even look at her when she made her speech about feeding her kids. He just sat there shuffling papers. He should be impeached.

 

Abbott, Patrick, and Paxton are outraged by this judge. His action is beyond anything excusable. He will of course hide behind the executive order which was never intended to be enforced in such a manner. I don't know if Abbot can pardon anyone but if he can he should. This is an example of what rule by progressive liberals would look like.

I used data from the CDC website. I used estimates from the final week from the sources that the CDC prescribed as there is a two week delay until the sources finalize. Then I used the formulas from their website.

She's self employed and even now, many states have no system setup for self employed to file for unemployment. Arkansas just got theirs up and running yesterday. So for many salon owners and stylist who work for themselves (which is most) they've received ZERO income for almost 2 months.

While I'm not in a stay at home state, we did have a travel restriction for out of staters. I ignored it and continued to rent my nightly rentals to out of staters. I did vet them with a few questions and didn't allow anyone from hot spot areas. There were also days in between guests and I took precautions when cleaning (I do it all myself), but unless the state was going to supplement my income, I was going to continue running my business as I saw fit, and surprisingly even though I had a lot of cancellations, I rebooked all of them and have been doing well now. I'm in a very remote area, no way for anyone to truly enforce it. Other cabin rentals were doing the same.

Like I already said, all states had to setup new systems to allow self employed to file claims and most states still do not have those setup. They are eligible but have they been able to get it setup as of yet? As of Friday, only 16 states had it setup for self employed to file, otherwise, they had to still remain with NO income for 2 months and counting.

 

You are incorrect aka WRONG. Here is an article that was from April 22nd and New Yorkers who were self employed were still not able to get unemployment. Do you ever check your facts before you post?
