Bathrooms are private, even if they are public bathrooms. Are you trying to seriously act like rape can happen in a corporate kitchen in an office? I'd love to see an article where this happened. That analogy kind of reeks of desperation.

 

This should be investigated, the FULL facts brought to light and any crime prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Personally I don't think all heterosexual males should be impugned as a result of this, but it is hard to avoid the conclusion that we are responsible for a disproportionate percentage of the worst crimes.

First, thanks for proving me right - instant and reflexive 'blame someone different' response. You really can't help it.

Second, because this concerns an overwhelmingly christian society with a well documented history of christian clergy & workers raping children and a well documented history of churches ignoring or actively covering up their behaviour.

There is just SO MUCH of this going on in Western societies that I haven't had time to investigate Islam, but given the fact that religion is clearly a major of grooming I'd be genuinely surprised if Islam didn't have similar issues.

Excuse me? Do religious parents still compel their children to attend churches & religious schools? Do they still willingly hand their children over to religions with known histories of child rape and cover ups? The answer is YES THEY DO. They FORCE their children into the company of groomers knowing all that has already happened.

Last time I checked this was a thread about something that happened in a christian dominated society - one of the most christian dominated societies in the world. It is also a society where numerous of its most prominent christian churches have been uncovered as havens of grooming, child rape and cover up.

I get that you have a reflexive need to deflect to the 'other', but my post was 100% relevant. Yours was not. Evne then, I readily concede that the nature of religion makes it certain that imams & muslim officials are raping children. Groomers gonna groom.

Sorry, you want me to PROVE that parents still drag their kids to church and enrol them in religious schools? That is a desperate distraction even for you. No need to prove an established fact.

As for celibacy, another distraction. The Southern Baptists have had the EXACT SAME problem as the Catholic Church, right down to the coverups. Pretty sure their priests aren't celibate. Other churches and religious orders have also had issues, so that red herring isn't going to swim.
