    However,

YOU SAID; “Global Data shows Flu is more deadly to school children”

    Let’s see.......

Flu Mortality Rate, age 17 and under in the U.S.

    2019/2020 Flu Season

    0 - 4 yrs.......1.8 per 100,000 population
    5 - 17 yrs......0.3......school age children

    2018/2019 Flu Season

    0 - 4 yrs........1.1
    5 - 17 yrs.......0.3.....school age children

    2017/2018

    0 - 4 yrs........0.5
    5 - 17 yrs.,.....0.8......school age children

    Source; CDC, Flu burden estimates

    Where’s your Global Data???????

He definitely wants to steer away from a claim he can’t substantiate.

Also, all the Florida/California comparisons he made on page one PREDATES Delta. If he didn’t know that, then I’m questioning his IQ level.

His book states; Over 37,000 Floridans died of Covid. Florida currently has over 77,000 Covid deaths.

In reference to your global data claim, I’ll give you a breather/pass GO. Also, in a previous post, you stated the fact that I’ve only used the mortality rates of one seasonal flu “to prove something”. Well, I have yet proven nor disproved your following claims......

    a. Seasonal influenza is a serious risk to all age groups, and that is not the case with Covid.

    b. Flu is more deadly to school children

.......and of course, in the U.S.

In reference to claim (b.), CDC’s 10 year average mortality rates, age 0 to 4 versus 5 to 17, will no doubt disprove your claim as children age 4 and under aren’t generally school age children.

In reference to claim (a.), you and I will have to agree to using a fair method of determination, for example; Covid isn’t seasonal, whereas influenza is, thus, divide Total Covid deaths by X number of months/since the date the first covid death was confirmed, and Total Flu deaths by generally 6 months, October to March.

Several times, you also set the rules of what’s meaningful and meaningless, such as; “Hospitalizations and Deaths” VERSUS “positivity rates/number of infections/a surge in cases, thus, by your own rules, we would also have to determine the Flu VERSUS Covid’s Hospitalization to Death Ratio, age 17 and under.

For your info, when I was employed by Hess International, I attended several CEO/VP meetings, and when no one had a calculator, all heads turned towards me.

Quote; What are the ages and medical histories.....

Since when the states have been publishing the medical history of their hospitalized patients, dead or alive?

    Tampa Bay Times

Headline; Omicron out of control as 57,000 Floridians a day get Covid

Note; Average daily infections since Dec 31st

    ___________

    The information have been seeking;

“The Florida Department of Health has not released any data that shows how many Floridians have the Omicron Variant. But Gov. DeSantis said Omicron is overwhelmingly the dominant strain in the state. The Variant is now responsible for 95% of infections in the U.S., according to the CDC.”

Thus, one step at a time in determining FLORIDA’s Omicron rates, such as its Mortality Rate.

Whether or not it means something to you is meaningless to me.
