Yes, would be accurate. The UNKNOWN is what creates anxiety and worry... as we have no control over it.Or don't understand it . The myths that have comedown through the ages are based on fears of one kind or another. That is is how people understood things then. and explained them to themselves. Myths and beliefs are thus created to fill the lack of logic and facts. Fear has served many a leader well , be it a religious one or political one. Fear has been and continues to be used to manipulate populations . The concept of Apocalypses is also a tactic to control people with fear ( of the unknown) The more abstract and vague to more fear inducing it can be. to the suggestable mind.
That's how you manipulate control and even brainwash people. Promised them their greatest hope but threaten them with their biggest fears
EXACTLY !!!! Fear is used to make people conform .By doing so, they begin to lose their own individuality , personality m and independent thinking. And when you have fears of Apocalypses' or "hell"......... those can be very powerful influences to the mind.
Re: one world Gov't ... The planet is made up of too many very different cultures (countries) The differences ( including languages belief's, Climate related specifics etc to be managed by one governing body. It is not realist if humans are to maintain their identities and uniqueness. Thought provoking topic......thank you for that.
Replace government with corporations and the same applies. Your local drug store, even if part of a chain, is less of a threat than faceless Big Pharma corporations. The people at the local drug store might even be friends or neighbors. Then along came Purdue and the Opioid crisis where the C-level executives made decisions that were on a par with Drug Lords seeking to expand the pool of addicts for their own personal greed and wealth. Having a FEAR of POWERFUL corporations is HEALTHY because they can and do represent a very real DANGER to We the People.
but human nature, makes it impossible. A Centralized and compete control is contrary to the diverse personalities and a desire for liberty expressing those personalities.
Parents own the right to raise their children. Your form of "human intelligence" denies that and disregards the evil side of human nature. Our Constitution understands that side. Checks and balances with smaller forms of government, family being the smallest and most crucial. Scripture has been used to justify the evil side of humanity selectively, yet in it's entirety, it is Truth. Those that cannot embrace it's "entirety" introspectively often rant against it.
There has been an attempt to make it a one party government, thus the weaponization of agencies, control of media, and they have been made clear. Populace ideals are suppressed by established control.
I am a Christian. I am not concerned about Apocalypse. It is inevitable tomorrow or a thousand years from now. So is my ultimate death so why be excited about it? I see hell as something not to preoccupy my senses as it has been overcome as well as death. Perhaps other Christians view these things differently for different purposes, but I don't.
I have suffered through three decades of Climate Apocalypse propaganda. I know that it will never end because it is an effective tool of the elite.
Sooooo true. They always try and attach fear to what is written in the Book of Revelation, but they preach it every single day!
I don't think the example of a one on one situation can be used to describe the entire human experience.
I find it humorously ironic that you ask for me to share research and then explain why doing so doesn't matter. While we may or may not be "hardwired" to be emotional rather than logical it is our intelligence that gets us to the logical.
I think your argument is lost when you hinge it on a "centralized and complete control" system. Why does it have to be that? Do we in the US live under that? No, we don't.
Once upon a time I would have agreed with you but that doesn't work in reality. Any and all attempts to control emotions, AKA repression of emotions, ends up creating more strife and conflict.
From your link: Preamble This Agenda is a plan of action for people, planet and prosperity. It also seeks to strengthen universal peace in larger freedom. We recognise that eradicating poverty in all its forms and dimensions, including extreme poverty, is the greatest global challenge and an indispensable requirement for sustainable development. All countries and all stakeholders, acting in collaborative partnership, will implement this plan. We are resolved to free the human race from the tyranny of poverty and want and to heal and secure our planet. We are determined to take the bold and transformative steps which are urgently needed to shift the world onto a sustainable and resilient path. As we embark on this collective journey, we pledge that no one will be left behind. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets which we are announcing today demonstrate the scale and ambition of this new universal Agenda. They seek to build on the Millennium Development Goals and complete what these did not achieve. They seek to realize the human rights of all and to achieve gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls. They are integrated and indivisible and balance the three dimensions of sustainable development: the economic, social and environmental. The Goals and targets will stimulate action over the next fifteen years in areas of critical importance for humanity and the planet: People We are determined to end poverty and hunger, in all their forms and dimensions, and to ensure that all human beings can fulfil their potential in dignity and equality and in a healthy environment. Planet We are determined to protect the planet from degradation, including through sustainable consumption and production, sustainably managing its natural resources and taking urgent action on climate change, so that it can support the needs of the present and future generations. Prosperity We are determined to ensure that all human beings can enjoy prosperous and fulfilling lives and that economic, social and technological progress occurs in harmony with nature. Peace We are determined to foster peaceful, just and inclusive societies which are free from fear and violence. There can be no sustainable development without peace and no peace without sustainable development. Partnership We are determined to mobilize the means required to implement this Agenda through a revitalised Global Partnership for Sustainable Development, based on a spirit of strengthened global solidarity, focussed in particular on the needs of the poorest and most vulnerable and with the participation of all countries, all stakeholders and all people. The interlinkages and integrated nature of the Sustainable Development Goals are of crucial importance in ensuring that the purpose of the new Agenda is realised. If we realize our ambitions across the full extent of the Agenda, the lives of all will be profoundly improved and our world will be transformed for the better. Oh, the horror!
Total control is the only way to achieve their goals. Like Communism, they paint it up to look pretty.
They are in serious Lalaland. They probably ride unicorns to harvest the lollipop trees. I hope they beat their drug habits.
