I suspect you mistyped part of that... but the ideal accommodation of people with mental problems is determined by their doctors as well as what would not place an undue burden on their place of employment. Everybody else - it's not a matter of mandates but courtesy.

To play Devil's advocate, the evidence for "affirming care" is extremely weak. Additionally, if you believed their health was best left to parents and doctors then you wouldn't care what people who aren't their parents or doctors think. But you don't believe that. You believe everyone they come in contact with must become involved in their mental health treatment.

Again: I'm not talking about pronouns. My POINT is that things like sexual preferences, or identifying with one gender or another... or neither.... is biological. That's IT!

The right likes to use pronouns to ATTACK these people. Who cares about pronouns! I use "he" for somebody who identifies as male, "she" for those who identify as female, and "they" when I'm not sure, or they don't identify with either. Period! That is the common use. If another becomes common, and I find it useful, I will use it. Otherwise I won't.

It's definitely the Republican's constitutional right to be bigots. It's also their constitutional right to insult people. However, unlike sexual preferences or tendencies, there is no evidence that the tendency to be rude is biological, but rather more due to lack of culture, lack of education and lack of a good spanking (or too much spanking) when they still had a chance to be raised properly.

Pretty impressive people actually exist who think a gender characteristic determines gender, not chromosomes.

This is news to a lot of you but no, what you have between your legs does not determine gender. Nor whether you have an adams apple, nor whether you grow hair on your face at puberty, nor whether you have a uterus. Those are characteristics, not determining factors, so chop off whatever you like and wail to the moon or force other people to indulge your fantasies—you are still the gender you were born with and will forever more be that gender.
