Not sure how many of you are aware of this but this is the scientific evidence backed up by many scientists.

It has been signed by 31,487 American climate scientists who together have 9,029 PHD's in their field.

I guess the left thinks all of these highly educated climate scientists are lying huh?

 

They've all been paid off by big oil and don't qualify as "scientists" because they don't agree with the fictional 97% of "climate scientists" who think the world is ending.

 

I see no evidence only opinion. The signature on the petition you link to is that of Edward Teller. He died on September 9, 2003.

Here are two facts on global warming it will be interesting to see if anyone can find a scientist to refute them.

According to the American Meteorological Society's State of the Climate in 2017, the year brought an end to the three-year streak of new record temperatures that were set each year from 2014–2016. Depending on the data set used, 2017 came in second or third warmest, after 2016 (warmest) and 2015 (second or third warmest)

Of course they are going to say it's not legit but it is.

Apparently they and you are accusing the other hundreds of millions of scientists liars....so, yeah.

 

The signature of Teller proportedly on the petition is at least 15 years old. How far back does it go? Doesn't that make the data a bit obsolete?

 

I hate to inform you that there are not hundreds of millions of other scientists out there.

Didn't they get caught fudging with the numbers and that's why nobody believes their #FakeNews every year when they come out, "last year was the warmest on record"? Then the US has the worst winters ever just like we did this year, and NASA says Greenland glaciers are growing, and upper atmospheric temperatures aren't changing, then Antarctica has record ice since records began, then they admit we're in a pause in rising temperatures and then say the opposite the next day? Then data doesn't match their predictions and so go back and retroactively change your data sets to match the outcomes. It's just farcical.

 

NOAA has been caught moving the goal posts more than once before with regard to weather station readings. This is fun. It was quite cold this winter, we could use a slight uptick in temps.

You should not be so fast and loose with your words. The Petition Project did not say global warming was a hoax. That was a word politifact simply glommed onto. Secondly, relying on politifact for truth is risky at best.

 

As I stated..."scientists"....just as the petition uses.

 

Several:
first and foremost this petition is over 20 years old and things, understandings, change. This also gives a great deal of time to collect signatures.
Second it was presented as signed by "American climate scientists" The one signature they show is Edward Teller's who was an atomic physicist not a climate scientist
third it is opinion and contains no facts to disprove "global warming"
Forth the petition does not define "scientists" are and does not link their scientists to climate science, they could be middle school biology teachers. This is clearly illustrated by the fact that of the 31487 scientists who signed it only 9029 less than 30% had a PHD in their field which probably indicates they are not experts. Their field is not defined.

If this were an undergraduate science paper it would not receive a passing grade.

 

There is no scientific consensus. Anyone who says a consensus can be determined by counting the number of abstracts supporting AGW that gatekeepers allowed in the journals is not a scientist. The United Nations who runs the hoax is not a scientific organization. It's a political organization with an agenda to transfer wealth from a few successful economies to the mass of failed economies, most of its membership.

You and I are smart enough to know we do not control Climate. So to those (normally Democrat loyalists) let them control climate all they want to. Just do not change laws that impact me.

And they have furiously changed laws and i want them to stop that now.

 

What fries my ass is the way all of the concern over "climate change" ignores the problem plastics pollution is creating. Based on my reading, it appears that plastic pollution has the potential to kill a large percentage of ocean life.

 

Nor did politifact say that it did. The quote they are responding to is included on the site. Better be more attentive before accusing somebody else of being "loose"' with their words.

I don't rely on a single source. I had discussed this years ago and found the arguments given by politifact to be accurate. Not worth opening the discussion again...

 

Because in all the history of the world there is only one Edward Teller alive per generation, oh wait, there's actually dozens in the phone book...
