…"One of the most important things is that this was intentional, that they knew what they were doing," Goodwin told Hegseth on Sunday. "They actually wrote about it in The New Republic, and there was a debate going back and forth between various progressives at the time. And they said, if we're going to control the political means of this country, we have to control the education system."

PETE HEGSETH BRINGS AWARENESS TO ‘MISEDUCATION OF AMERICA’ WITH NEW SERIES: ‘THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING’

"And it took research all the way back to 1915 to see that, but then it unfolded over the course," he continued.

Earlier, Sunday, Hegseth held a panel interview with students who received a classical Christian education to discuss the influence of their faith-based education amid the progressives' push to overhaul the system.

"Students across the country are missing out on the true essence of literature, because… it's a viewpoint into history, and it's a viewpoint into people's worldviews and ideas at the time," Sarah Jacob, a graduate from Veritas Academy, said. "And in my school at least, we were taught to grapple with and wrestle with those ideas, and it made us people who understand more fully what we believe and what other people believe."
A new episode of Fox Nation's "MisEducation in America" will air Sunday night at 10 PM ET on the Fox News Channel.…

he secular progressive urban elites have been waging a war for decades over control of our culture. It has now moved to our schools where the President of the United States and the teachers Union believe that the teacher not the parent owns our children during school hours. Ironically it was covid 19 and distance learning that finally woke parents up as to what is being taught to the children. The battle is on.

We are proud to stand up for our kids and to be labeled by the president and AG as domestic terrorists. We must resist and cause change in biblical schools and if we can’t then look to charter and private schools. The progressive left has infiltrated some of those as well so home schooling is the final resort the best defense of our kids minds.? Even parents who are single or both work can do this with on line, church, and or co op help.

All the way back to 1915 that was intentional? Prior to the infamous Brown v Board of education, I guess that basically made education more liberal when we began to desegregate the public school system. I guess Hegseth wants to go back to segregation just like the good ole days.

He is basically, loosely, arguing for "faith-based" education. Faith-based education is a double-edged sword depending on how religious the educational instruction is on social, scientific, and historical facts and dates. Furthermore, I don't think any of the "students" he had on the show have read Catcher on the Rye, The Tale of Two Cities, Winds of War or War and Remembrance, Shakespeare Plays, Virginia Wolfe, T.S. Lawrence, Beauwolf, A Christmas Carol or any of Charles Dickens books, Madame Bovary, and a whole host of other books, poems, etc.

Faith-Based education is not something that is derived from classical literature, scientific principles, etc. The whole point is to teach a Christian or Biblical World View, which means that evolution is against God and therefore will not and cannot be taught as fact despite the evidence to the contrary, that certain books that go against "God's Word" will not and shall not be taught, which will eliminate most of the Classical books and poems from reading, to view world events as "part of the end times" in the Book of Revelation, which really does not develop, challenge, or teach what is happening today in reality, or teach the past that is against God's word which will be pretty much most of the historical basis of how religion and religious wars have determined the maps of Europe and Asia. And the list goes on.

But then again, Hegseth has always been long on words and very short on common sense and facts from Covid to elections to practically everything.

So the author is for indoctrinating people to ignore science by believing the earth is only thousands of yrs old and to believe that angels exist. How fun

So find God irrelevant? You find nothing good and proper in the ten commandments? Or are you only concerned with mans law?

I think the men who created the bible as a way to keep people in line with morals and ethics served it's purpose. But I don't need god in my life to know I shouldn't kill or cheat on my wife. So far I've done neither and that's without praying to an invisible man in the sky. Go figure.

Teachers are trying to control our "culture." Teachers are keeping Christian values out of our schools. Teachers grooming children for sexual reasons. Teachers are trying to turn children against America. Teachers are trying to make white students feel guilty for what has happened in history to minorities. Teachers need to be armed to protect our kids.

Something isn't quite right with the right.

Yet you refuse to quote his words. How does it feel to keep making statements you can’t back up?

    Wow lol.

So at the end of the day, you can’t distinguish what an article says about a person and what that person actually said, and you then take that assumption and use it to fuel your religious bigotry regardless that what the man is actually quoted as saying is the opposite of your religious bigotry.

I haven’t seen anyone fail so hard before

Another fake 'war' for you guys to babble about to move you away from the hearings.

    SSDD...

Mom was a math teacher. She used to buy education reform books, and I used to read them.

Let me spare you gigatonnes of BS.

Almost nobody wants education reform. That includes most Progressives. I can go over the reasons, but I really don't want to.

Btw, back in the 70s the illiteracy rate in a lot of places was crazy high, over 30% in places. Getting counted as literate was absurdly easy back then. One of the realities here is that this takes money, and the places that did a horrible job of educating kids didn't have much money. Which means it would take national intervention.

One last thing, successful school systems have national schools or national standards. Standards have been tried, they will never work here.

    So that leaves one option.

You really didn't read the article. How can you try to argue a point if you didn't read the article? That is totally asinine. I am not going to spoon feed you the quote when you haven't read the article.
Hint...it has to do with HIS quote regarding "the core of how we educate is completely gone..."

Sorry, nowhere does he say God is all important to him. That’s your assumption. And your religious bigotry is just that. Religious bigotry.

And this is all even more hilarious because he could indeed actually think God is most important. That does nothing to change your religious bigotry in hating him because you think he’s some crazy religious nutcase just for that. That’s simply you indulging your religious bigotry.
