I was raised a Baptist and scored high on all my test including military and industrial yet I rejected the Church and all its lies at fifteen.

Oh now the word “so” doesn’t mean anything? Here’s another English lesson for you: when you use the word “So”, the conversation that preceded it is automatically referenced, and our conversation was specifically about Christians and their beliefs, making your statement of “SO you believe X” a direct inference that I must be Christian. If you didn’t mean it, then the correct way of expressing yourself is to first disconnect the words from the past conversation so as to not confuse the person being asked.

Next time drop the “so”. Learn English.

And yes I believe the earth is billions of years old. Now what, Sherlock? My guess is you don’t have much to say now since the question was disingenuously asked anyway

So, good to know you believe in science. See, the word so isn’t automatically what you claimed it to mean. Hahahaha
I do find it strange that a person can believe in god the all knowing and all powerful but somehow not believe he created the universe. But whatever.

Yes, so is exactly used how I said it. You just demonstrated it and are oblivious to it. Lol. Learn English please.

And go talk to some Christians cause you clearly don’t know em well.

But using so didn’t mean I was saying you were a Christian. I never made that claim. I only asked you how old the earth is. You tried claim my using “so” was saying you were Christian. That’s just not the case. But you k is this. You just want to continue being disingenuous.
So, that being said…you’ve wasted enough of my time with your silly emotional posts. So, have a good day. See how so can be used differently??? So, you’re welcome.

Dewey was strongly influenced and believed strongly in Democracy. I hope you are not infering Dewey was favorable towards Marxism, I may have read your intent wrong.

"Dewey believed that a philosopher should not only reflect but also act, both to improve society and to participate in “the living struggles and issues of his age.” His tools: reason, science, pragmatism. His goal: democracy, not only in politics and the economy but also as an ethical ideal, as a way of life."

So, after all that(notice I’m being even more obvious with my connection to the conversation we just had by adding “after all that,” even though it’s not needed because I used the word “so”),

let’s readdress your first post yet again:

it’s unsubstantiated and based on nothing but stereotyping Christians with no reconciliation of the actual message that’s being given.

Then So is completely not necessary. You used it for zero reason. Hahaha, either you used it for a dumb reason or no reason at all, which is it???

You are exactly right. No one suggested ignoring science or any other subject.

The linked article that started the thread does not say that.

If someone believes god created the universe then they in fact would ignore the science related to how old the earth is.

People do really need God in their lives. Only a fool would think otherwise.

Not really. Read Genesis. God created the universe over time, He having no beginning. Also notice that the earth was already here when God “created” it. He simply terraformed what He’d already placed here who knows how long ago. The universe is of course billions of years old to relatively recent. That there are rocks on earth over 4 billion years old really does not conflict with Genesis.

So why not confess as to the actual source of your quote?

Which is not in the article I threaded here but as you well knew in a different article from a link in the article I put here. So no one reading my article without going to a 2nd article would see your quote.

You provided a link in your OP. Not sure why it’s so difficult for you or anyone else to understand that. Is it that hard to see and click on the link you provided in the OP?

Oh well…if the psalm say so then it has to be true. Why can’t you accept that I’ve stated that some people need god in their life while others don’t? Seems you want to push your way of life onto others. To each his own, right?

What does that matter? It's still a link from your OP, which is what I stated. The link in your OP is very easy to see. Not sure why you're struggling with this.

All have free will to make their own choices in their lives along with dealing with all the consequences of each free will choice. I never said one could not choose to live without God, only that one would be a fool to do so. There are other references besides Psalms for this. By all means feel free to make your choice.
