Why do you shy away from the reasoning behind shunning a rejecting Holocaust denial? You admitted that you need to do more research so perhaps others have already diligently done the research and have the family history and know for a fact that the atrocious and repulsive history of Adolf Hitler, The Third Reich and the Holocaust are accurately documented. You are the one that needs to do the work before debating the subject. What exactly are you referring to when you say the "Truth"?
It was never my intention to "prove" that Holocaust did not happen, so no, technically, I don't need to research anything or "do any work". I mean, if someone wants to drop a link, then I will probably read it. But I see no point in actually researching the whole thing by myself/on my own.
You said... And now you changed your mind...okay fine, but you cannot debate the ins and outs, pros and cons or separate facts from fiction of a subject until you do the research and I did give you a very informative link in a previous post.
I was just being polite by agreeing with you. The fact of the matter is that I don't need to do any research, seeing as how I am neither confirming nor denying about Holocaust. Thanks for the link though and I might read it later.
No problem, but without the proper research, whether one agrees with it or not, I don't believe that one can fully understand why there are places that have outlawed Holocaust denial. Your choice to read it or not.
What exactly is this "Truth" you are speaking of? And by all means poing out where I stated that people who disagree with me don't have a right to free speech?
Your postings in this thread speak volumes. Sure, your intention is not to prove that the Holocaust didn't happen. That would be quite laughable anyway, because it's rather impossible to prove that. A lot of what you've stated here so far is quite clearly typical denial rhetoric. If you want to sell it as something else, fine. Back to start. So you say there are people who believe in something they never witnessed and when you point this out they go ape-(*)(*)(*)(*). You used this an an argument. For or against what? What's your point? That "laws against Holocaust denial, so these lawmakers don't have truth and justice on their side" argument you're using here is old as dirt and one of the most obvious ones used by Holocaust deniers. Your point being? Might want to stop this obvious beating around the bush. There are Holocaust denial threads on this forum, join and have fun.
I didn't see most of the activities within most of the sciences, but thanks to records, I'm reasonably sure that the activities the sciences claim to have done, have been done. Do you read much?
So you're saying that you don't believe anything happened hat you didn't see with your own eyes? That's ridiculous beyond belief. Did you witness the atomic bomb drop on Hiroshima? Didn't happen I guess
Did you witness all the people actually being born that are in your life? How do you know they are real people that were born and not created in a lab somewhere?
this logic is absurd. did you see the atom bombs get dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, with your own eyes?
My college professor was in the holocaust. He has the burn marks, the number, and his picture was found in a museum in Poland. Those that don't believe the holocaust happened are hilarious.
You can't claim to have an "open mind" about the Holocaust and yet discount and disregard all claims that they witnesse or took part in atrocities, and all evidence that the Holocaust happened. thats not having an open mind, that's being biased.
Europe? How do you know Europe exists. Have you seen it with your own eyes? How much of it have you seen and therefore know exists? Seen Germany? If not, how do you know it exists?
All I can say is that my father, God rest his soul, help free Europe and saw some of the concentration camps and the poor souls there. ANYONE who doesn't think that the Holocaust happened are naive, was going to say horses asses but the Mods would get upset.
We do not need to see it without our own eyes. It was witnessed by loads of other eyes, the evidenced was witnessed by others and a record was kept. It is called history, so that the people not alive at the time can know of the history of humanity, and what we can do in our evil. It is education. The ability to is has been one tool in our survival as a species. Others did not have to see that eating that mushroom would kill you, for it had already killed someone we did not know, did not see, but were informed about so hopefully like the jews suffered might not be repeated on any people.
I think a lot of people in this thread are arguing that Holocaust did happen. I just want to point out (as I have done many, many times) that my aim is not to prove that it didn't happen. My point is that we should not criminalize Holocaust denial.
Why are you posting on a US board about what happens in Germany like they are the same countries? Why do you think the US is going to start putting deniers of history in jail?
To be honest, your OP seems to make both arguments.... Thereby causing more confusion... I read it with my own eyes.
Then you either need glasses or you need to read my OP again. I never explicitly stated that Holocaust did not happen. In fact, I made it very obvious that I was NOT claiming Holocaust did not happen, just because we did not see it happen with our own eyes. Fee free to read whatever you want into my OP.
Thanks. I can only read into a post, that which the post allows. Anyway, 6 of 1, half dozen of another.
