Elections in communist countries are sham elections. Iran is a 'revolutionary theocracy' if you can call it that ( I don't know what to call it). However, in 1979, the Shaw went into exile because of the growing protests and riots and it led to the Iranian revolution which brought the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, a leader of one of the factions of the revolt, to power. Hardly any democratic components to that revolution. Any 'election' held from that point on cannot be trusted.

None of your examples establish your point, which, I assume, is that elections can vote in totalitarian leaders. It's possible, but rare. Even Hitler didn't win a majority vote, but his rise was due to public unrest within the Weimer Republic, which was democratic. However, Hitler became chancellor by appointment from Hindenburg so one cannot argue he was 'elected chancellor' though the votes Hitler did get gave him enough of a power base that Hindenburg, without which, probably wouldn't have appointed him. The only one I can think of on a national scale (as opposed to a factional scale, such as the Hezbollah which won 70 of the 128 seats in the Lebanese election in 2018 ) was that of Salvador Allende who won the Chilean presidency by an incredibly slim margin, though he only tried to nationalize strategic industries, but even that didn't last when Pinochet took over power via a coup d'etat a few years later and established an iron fist dictatorship.

None of those items are on the liberal menu. Your far right sources have been very successful in this ongoing propaganda campaign, making people frightened of non-issues, while keeping their attentions away from the uber-criminal behavior of the wealthy, including their favorite former president.

We can't afford to properly fund law enforcement, and other programs that would at least improve those things you've been taught to fear, because those wealthy folks and our giant corporations have been getting away with paying minimal taxes, or none at all. And they get good people like yourself to believe that they will use that largess to create or retain jobs, which gets you to defend them often and angrily.

All the while, they use that huge landfall to buy back their own stock, which increases the stock's value exponentially, making them richer while the rest of us are left with crumbs. Aren't you tired of that? If they paid just a few percent more of their record-breaking profits, this country could truly be the world's showcase.

I said there was some violence, but no wholesale violence by BLM. A majority of those who were committing violence were not BLM members, just people who hitched onto the protests and did what they did.
