Can God forgive Trump when he has never asked God for forgiveness? I was always under the impression that when you truly accept God you realize that you are sinful and pray to God for forgiveness. If you never ask for forgiveness have you truly accepted God? I don't know the answer but I am going to pose this question to my brother-in-law who is a pastor.

 

What should Trump ask for forgiveness FOR? $2 gas? No new wars? 1.6% inflation? Law and Order? Energy Independence? Secure borders? Lack of fentanyl deaths? Plentiful baby formula? Operation Warp Speed? Ending North Korean nuclear testing?

While I don’t believe that any arrangement other than the union between one man and one woman is a genuine marriage, I never advocated gay unions be illegal. Gay people can certainly seek out people willing to provide whatever services needed to have whatever ceremony they want. They just need to not coerce believers into supporting such an event against their religious beliefs.

I never said anything about his personal life. Trump came out on the record as saying he has never asked God for forgiveness. In Christianity we are all sinners. I was told that to be forgiven by God we had to truly accept God into our hearts and to ask him to forgive us for our sins. My question is how can God forgive someone if they have never asked for forgiveness? You went off on a snarky reply and started talking about inflation etc... Well most Christians did not cause inflation but we still pray for forgiveness.

Jesus never sinned and always condemned it. He was with people who were sinners but he never ever condoned a single one of the sins. He would not have in any way participated in any sin or helped one who was donning to sin. It was always go and sin no more.

No one is coercing you to do anything. If you want to be left alone, you can refuse to engage. You can't force others not to communicate.

 

You should try loving gay people in the same way you love Donald Trump then. Because Donald Trump seems to get nothing but love despite his obvious transgressions and gay folks seem to get nothing but hate despite having done nothing but be gay.
