Do you have evidence that I've advocated any laws being passed.

Your OP certainly leans that way. No you did not specifically state it but then again the implication is there.

Since there is ZERO way to prevent premarital or extramarital sex. Even if legislated.

I've still in this discussion not advocated a single law and you know it.

And yes, there are ways for parents, society, and govt. to discourage premarital and extramarital sex without passing laws against it.

Have you forgotten how the U.S. federal govt. has gone all out to discourage smoking? And that is arguably one of the most addictive drugs known to man that causes no major problem for young people (a person doesn't get lung cancer or other major health problems for at least a couple of decades.

And tobacco use does NOT require another person.

Sorry but having sex is nowhere near as dangerous as smoking.

    Are you still a virgin?

Every heard of AIDS, Herpes or a host of other disease.

Or pregnancies for extremely underage girls.

Once again, the loathesome attack the messenger mentality.

Does atheism really breed the kind of indecency shown by some in this thread?

Still not nearly dangerous as smoking. I think Im going to get laid this weekend. I am currently single (by choice) and enjoy having premarital sex. In your world I would be thrown in prison right?

    Don't be ridiculous.

    Once again.

If you are unable to read the thread just say so. I know literacy programs that can help you.

If you are too lazy to read, then just admit it.

Actually, pre-marital sex is responsible for most marriages.

So I think it would be a good thing if it was stopped.

No, there is not. More because society has changed and learnt that is not bad. Having sex before marriage. And more because the society also is more open and Christianism is not the unique belief. There are many atheists, agnostics that even can be against marrage.

Sex is not bad is good. That is the problem. And you can't change this.

And you're trying to impose your own view using the government. Even it is without legislating. It is your Christian vision that says that is bad. But not for many other people. And no scientific and here what is important if sex is harming in some way and it is not. So that is absurd try to convince people that they must (*)(*)(*)(*) only when they are married.

Nah. It only works if the man is staring at the ceiling. What if they do it missionary or doggy style? What if blindfolds are involved?

...were not what you think they were.

Ben Franklin was notorious for his whoring.

I regret it... all of m best chances to get laid happened in high school, and I didn't pursue any of them because I had a stick up my ass when it came to sex. If I could go back and do things differently, I'd have nailed Piper, both of those Eastern European girls, and that chick with glitter all over her face who yelled "I WANT TO F***CK YOU" at the homecoming dance, among others.

Now, I sit in front of my computer, trawling OKCupid and wondering how I could have possibly been so stupid back then.

    Newt Gingrich.

Okay, then. Please explain to me how you've been affected by my decision to make use of the services of an escort back in 2010.

    It still isn't.

I'll be sure to let you know as soon as that happens.

More importantly, where were all the hot female pedophile teachers like Debra LaFave?

    You lucky son of a...

And that person is not you.

Hitler approves of your line of reasoning.

Better idea: tell the young boys their first sexual encounter must be with Roseanne Barr.

As long as government recognizes the concept and acknowledges the existence of marriage, all marriages will be legal shams.

You're right. The group sex at 14 sounds way more awesome.

I'd rather you be running you life too. I want nothing to do with it. But where do you get the idea that christians? Conservatives? are trying to run your life? It won't conservatives setting up the obamacare with its panels on what you'll get and what you won't. Conservatives didn't mandate curlycue lightbulbs or take away your effective working toilets among other things.

In my opinion, we should be engendering solutions to our modern social dilemmas with modern infrastructure, instead of merely resorting to Iron Age morals in an Information Age.

Going way OT on those. But, what panels do you refer? Don't those panels exist today? Some for profit company tells you what you can and can't have in the way of medical care. Not only that, they can refuse you insurance.
Where's the law that says you MUST use curlycue lightbults? They only say a minimum efficiecy is needed not the shape.
You don't have an effective working toilet? I doubt libs have anything to do with that. No lib bought your toilet. You should probably get a new one.

    Really?

Aren't a number of American politicians (including the current president) trying to return to the "Iron Age" so to speak when it comes to the U.S. jobs and manufacturing (saving the auto industry for example).

And how do you solve "social dilemmas" with "infrastructure"?

I doubt building high speed rail or better bridges will have much impact on rising rates of illegitimacy or generational poverty..

Criticizing the iron age morality reminds me of Bolshevik new morality, as described in:
