In my opinion we are in the Cultural Civil War that is being instigated by BigMedia, BigOil, BigBanking and BigPharma. I think the nation will fail peacefully at the hands of federal government and, perhaps, China. I think the American public has lost its mojo.
I've been thinking about that and you probably have a point. I guess it gets down to a definition of failure. I think we are on shortcut path to economic failure at the hands of federal government. That may occur without violence but I suspect the rebuilding stage could see a lot of it since the government would have to be decimated and replaced. It would be better to do that steadily over a period of time if we can do it. So far, nobody is really interested in fixing federal government so we march headlong toward economic disaster.
Also stupid to kill over. They can do what they want, I suppose, but I don't think it will get who they want elected. I don't think Trump should be denied a spot on the ballot, btw. I just don't think it would be worth killing anyone over. Same goes for any politician. None of them are worth it.
Oh, I am sure they do, but in the end I am optimistic that humanity and reason will win the day. The human spirit globally is evolving to be more sane than it used to be in previous decades and centuries, though the MSM and politicians are doing their damndest to paint a bleak picture. It is easier to maintain control when they have people in the grips of fear.
When brother goes against brother, sister against sister, and one group of people against another group that is not civil war, but, uncivil war. That is why when I get a questionnaire asking what my race is I have to answer American. I refuse to be put in a box that allows pollsters or other government types to use the information to foment discourse or hate.
As one who remembers the 10's of millions killed by politicians in the twentieth century, not to mention two world wars, I am not so optimistic.
