    I agree. But both sides will use the attack on U.S. forces (and the death of the contractor), through the drone attack, and the plane crash to further their own political objectives. I don't know much about the Iranian people today (although I roomed with an Iranian engineering student, at college, years ago, during the Shah's regime). My guess is that there are certain similarities there to elsewhere that create differences in political/religious beliefs between urban and rural areas. Urban populations tend to be more democratic, in part due to their connection with modernity, as well as the understandable desire to see "numbers" mean something. Rural populations tend to be more fundamentalists...both in religion and politics. I would suppose that the Iranians supporting regime change are primarily urban dwellers.

    Some might, but I doubt most do. You can connect a series of causal events going back indefinitely...or at least to the Big Bang. In fact, IMO, that's a major problem in the world today, a constant "revenge cycle," the Old Testament "eye for an eye; tooth for a tooth," which may be found in other religions as well. Of course, the Old Testament is by definition "non-Christian."

    In reply to "Pred" Poster above: An oversimplification...not ALL Blacks or Jews vote Democratic. Shelton Adelson is Jewish and gave around $100 million to Trump and Republicans in the last Presidential election.
    P.S. I don't think he's African-American, but to be honest, I don't really know.

    Some are, but not all. Most poor Blacks have been voting Democrat for decades and they’re still poor. It took Trump to actually make a big difference in their unemployment. And most Jews aren’t even practicing anymore. If you don’t think many people vote certain ways because they’re expected to, study some psychology and voting patterns.

    And I didn’t vote Republican last election.

    These protests in Iran are going nowhere.

    And if they become bigger that a blip, expect a China (circa 1989) sort of "crackdown".

    The mistake may have been due to incompetence, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a mistake. I serious doubt it was intentional...assuming you are talking about the Iranian missile strike on the Ukrainian commercial jet.

    Are these the same sources that were trying to get Retweets the other night with things like "Fighter Jets leave from UAE", "Warplanes over Lebanon", and "70 Casualties"?:roflol:

    And, isn't it curious that all of this Alarmist BS (Mostly, if Not Always, Unverified) seems to find it's way to PF?

    I wonder why that is?

    Anyway, if any of these "reports" are actually reliably verified (beyond the rantings and ravings of somebody making up stories on Twitter) get back to me.

    And back ON-Topic, once again, Iran will deal with these "protests" as they see fit.

    At some point, there will (most likely) be a "Government Crackdown".

    And, if anybody dies in the Protests and/or Crackdown, it will just be MORE Innocent Blood that Trump is responsible for. Period.

    It is what it is. :smh:
