It's quite straightforward, sir. Yes I spoke of death but I never claimed to have "returned from the dead", which is what you ascribed to me and so I'll thank you to get your twisted comprehension righted.

And as for your claim that my use of the term "recall" is ambiguous it is certainly not. You had it spot on when you mentioned "recall to a subsequent incarnation". That is it's sole meaning in my treatise. I thought that was made pretty darn clear but I suppose there are some that can't follow my plain English.

Funny how there are so many threads that always pop up "criticizing" Christianity. Wonder what the ratio is of criticizing Christianity is vs all other religions. Frankly, I haven't seen a single one that criticizes any other religion by anyone on the left side of the spectrum. Can anyone show me just one?

And no, I am not a Christian. I think all organized religions are ran by money grubbing power hungry idiots.

Also, just an FYI to those that claim they're only criticizing Christianity, not hating on it....when all a person sees is negativity come at them from the same side/people...yeah, they're going to translate that into hate. Don't believe me? Just replace the word "Christianity" with "black person". If you'd consider someone as always "criticizing" black people as "hateful" then guess what....its the same for religion.

It seems most of the people in this particular Political Opinion & Beliefs forum are from the US. I believe Christianity is the main religion in the US, therefore it stands to reason Christianity would be the focus. Not to mention it does seem many use Christianity as a guiding principle for their politics. With the whole separation of church and state, again stands to reason Christianity would be the focus.

And that's why you hate! It's easier than love, tolerance and acceptance.. It's a DNC taught trait :(

Because it's "A GLUE" that binds people together! It's an ideology that transcends mortality and gives people something to believe in and die for other than some politician or whatever oddity they rely on to get thru life..

A man of faith will willingly lay down his life for another and what he believes in, and that's why the DNC and other conquerors/controllers go straight for religion and dismantle it.. The middle east proves the strength and the resolve of those men of faith!

There is no atheist group, just a bunch of individual/empty souls wandering aimlessly with no future beyond this life..

Nope my personal observation. Soulless is easy to recognize! They are the types that kill and commit atrocities to their fellow man! You don't wonder why you can't see that, think about Bro :(

Do you believe religious people, as in not atheists, don't kill or commit atrocities to their fellow man?

for much of history religion and government authority were one and the same, the council of nicea adopted the christian church to roman male dominated culture in 325AD and incorporated roman traditions to the church which may have initially conquered the world but now cause trouble in our more enlightened times, for myself i am searching very early Christianity looking for the corruption. that does not make me "anti-christian" but simply a truth seeker. as the right constantly claims they are

You'd omitted most of my reply, in your quoting of it (and without ellipses, to indicate gaps). Not a strong sign, of honorability. Though I know, you claim that morals are irrelevant. I am only taking you at your word: why, then, might you not be an irredeemable, unabashed liar?

So here is the part you omitted (your quotes in blue, my comments, you'd avoided in your reply, in black). I wonder if you can explain how "straightforward," these parts of your description were?

    metypea1 said: ↑
Your body is something natural and mortal and when it dies, your sojourn is over, plain and simple. You haven't lent credence to any falsehoods, haven't become complicit in any devilish schemes, such as any schemes that promise eternal life or reincarnations; nor ceded your natural authority to any 'powerful' consortium or to any religion per se. Your body is certainly NOT "the temple" of any 'spirit', but it is merely part-and-parcel of the Natural World, indistinguishable from animals, forests, clouds or the wind.

That could certainly be read as a description of what happens to one's "essence" when they die: dust to dust, once again part of enveloping Nature.

    metypea1 said: ↑

But whoa! you'll be a sitting duck for any sorceries the Devil can whip up, wherein the Dark and Invisible 'spirit' realms revolt against your INNOCENT egress from this slimy existence

You "don't know how" I thought you were talking about death, from the words, "EGRESS from this slimy existence?"

    metypea1 said: ↑

the Devil's last DESPERATE effort to recall you to its service everlasting. But no! you're too smart for that; you don't find witchcraft awe-inspiring or even engaging, so when your number's up you'll die, period, nothing more... Eventually the sorceries weaken and peter out, though perhaps never fully, and one must accept the inevitability of only *posthumous* recognition of the righteousness of one's sojourn.

"When your number's up you'll die, period." Yeah, you're right-- what could lead anyone to think that what you'd written, had to do with death?
    <End>

So here is the point, for those who are too spiritually evolved, to understand straightforward thought: if you were
talking about death, but not from any personal experience with it, why would you feel you have any authority, or even basis, upon which to make assertions, as to what will happen "when (one) dies?"

    How do
you know, that our "sojourn (then) is over?"

Where do you get your insight, into our, "
    egress from this slimy existence?"

Why should anyone take your contention-- "when your
number's up, you'll die, period; nothing more"-- as anything but self-deluded conceit?

P.S.-- Though you at least quoted my question, about why it would be the Devil's last chance, if you weren't talking about death, you never gave an answer to it, specifically. You only said that you'd spoken of death, but were not saying that you had any experience with it. Yet the claim, at the head of your, so called, treatise, was that you had known "Nirvana."

So the real question, if death has nothing to do with Nirvana, is why did you spend so much of your treatise on Nirvana, talking about death?
