I'm not a Republican. I'm not a TP member. Both are flawed imo because they are willing to make peace with the left.

You think they be in a state of antagonism with the people they're trying to make laws for? I don't think that will work out.

Wars are temporary they just have to be won.

How do you know a sales tax does not work?

I live in Florida we have no income tax and only a 6% sales tax. For a tax system to work Government must control spending.

The economy continues to fall and Unemployment is still above 9% and peoples wages have decreased. As a truck driver I make 6 cents a mile less now then I did in 2007

The trouble is global competition. We aren't well educated as a society (I'd suspect a British BS in any subject is superior to an American MS in the same subject), so we don't have that going for us. We aren't innovating because our society is risk adverse (anything goes wrong with a new device and we sue 'em until they go out of business, and we regulate innovation and new projects to the bitter end) -- other than lowering wages, what else is there? Trade protectionism would possibly work, if you could put up with the high inflation that goes with it, but even that seems a bit of a stretch as many other nations would no longer buy our exports.

There are only so many way you can logically make the environment support more jobs. Most of them have huge trade-offs, but at least by lowering wages you'll have time to fix the other stuff so that our wages will climb with our merit and productiveness.

But haven't we always had global competition? I would be foolish not to admit that they are kicking our butts... however we had formidable competition in the space race, industry, agriculture, etc... but we have held our ground until recently.

Many people argue that the rules changed and added regulations and bureaucracy and mandates such an health and quotas... and then there are all the lucrative benefits that were gained through labor unions ...that gave unfair advantages to domestic production and encouraged relocating business abroad.

Most people would agree that capitalism simply seeks out profit and that comes primarily through EFFICIENCY and innovation.

Perhaps we should entertain the idea of recreating an equal playing field?

Well they have to buy food and raw materials somewhere.... so why not make the playing field more equal and REQUIRE that they (at least) buy as much exports from us as we buy from them? It's called "Trade Neutrality" and several countries have already implemented this policy.

YES prices will go up but when American business men and women see the opportunity to make a profit they will take advantage of the opportunity and go to work. If government leaders can't "man up" and make tough decisions reduce spending, there are only two choices left: 1) Print/counterfeit money till the entire economic system collapses ..or 2) get citizens back to work and collect more taxes.

Find some "ways" and make yourself wealthy! You have my encouragement and support!

Thank you. You have confirmed everything. You support lower wages for workers. How very communist.

Obama is causing wage decline because he is incompetent to encourage the country to help the economy and job growth

Not making peace with someone means being in a state of antagonism with them.

I agree, and although I might not like the ideology and policy of the Tea Party, I respect their politicians and constituents, as I respect all people.

However, I personally find the Tea Party to be idealistic, simple-minded, and lacking analytical cognition in their policy and ideology. I also find its principles to be over 200 years behind the rest of the politically active population.

    Why did you think that?

If prices did not go up maybe but with wages declining and prices and inflation increasing this means Obama is destroying the middle class.
