Yes. How did these three escape Hamas who value hostages both for use in negotiations to trade for captured Hamas terrorists and for use as human shields. And how did they manage to make it to the front lines through Hamas terrorists resisting IDF forces moving through Gaza clearing Hamas terrorists. It seems very likely that Hamas released them on purpose hoping that the battle fatigued IDF soldiers would mistakenly fire at them which they tragically did. Hamas may have even fired from the positions of the hostages. Regardless this incident was clearly a tragic accidental killing by friendly fire which tragically happens far too frequently in the fog of war.

That is far from reasonable. These hostages were placed in harms way for the purpose of demonizing the IDF. They do this with their own children, why wouldn't they do it with Israeli hostages.
