If evolution is true, then obviously "Jesus" is not real.

deep layers of coal? you mean real, ancient coal layers? or do you mean 4000 year old coal (itself an absurdity)? my guess is you mean the latter, since your myths don't extend further back than 6000 years. in which case why would there NOT be man made items in such recent layers?

Please answer the following. It's a legitimate question, as evolution has an answer for this question. If you don't, that is a basis for rejecting your notions:

How did we go from 20,000 on the ark to 9,000,000 unique species todayt?

I need for you to explain how we got 8,980,000 new species AFTER the flood.

AND NONE before the flood (as they were created).

AND NONE now, because you deny that evolution is ongoing today.

If you have no answer, game over. After all, there is nothing in that question that doesn't come directly from young earth creationism plus a simple count of species living today.

Where did the figure of 20000 come from?

Various young earth creationists explain how Noah's ark could carry the species by saying that at the time there were 20,000 "kinds" of animals, so 40,000 animals could fit on the ark for the time required.

A single life form can't be of more than one species, obviously. So, THEY say there were no more than 20,000 species at the end of the ark story.

Today there are about 9,000,000 species.

So, I'm wondering where we got the other 8,980,000 species that arrived between the ark and today.

And those "young earth creationists" are the experts on what was placed on the Ark? Remember the scripture states that it was male and female of every kind.... without specifying the total number. I would have to guess that those 'young earth creationists' that you mention were perhaps mistaken in their GUESS at a number.

Sure. It seems to me they're being overly aggressive about how many "kinds" could possibly fit on the ark of the size specified in the Bible.

But, it really doesn't matter that much! Let's say the ark could carry 10 TIMES as many "kinds" as their guess. That hardly changes the math at all. It still means that there are MILLIONS more species around today than there were on the ark - species that came from ... where??

If you want to fix this, you still have to say how we got MILLIONS of new species in the relatively short time between the ark and today.

The thing about science is that it demands that one do the math and look at the evidence.

Why do young earth creationists NOT DO THE MATH?

And, where did those millions of "extra" species that we see around us come from??

Not true. Artificial conditions, intelligence applied to combine only specific chosen elements. Proof that one of 20 amino acids necessary for life can be created in controlled conditions in a laboratory. No where near life or natural environment.

Do you have a reading comprehension problem? Because I specifically said the sediment was deposited over the short span of just a few decades. It's not difficult for a tree to remain upright, even alive, while it is buried at this rate. Since the sediment itself must be buried for millions of years before it turns to rock, we know it didn't take that long to deposit it.

It must include the beginning otherwise it's like starting a story in the 2nd chapter.

Avoiding the life from non-life is the biggest stumbling block to evolutionists, so of course they want to avoid it. Or the other end of the spectrum, evolutionists want to lump in selective breeding as proof of evolution when all biologists will tell us that selective breeding can produce a new species, not a new kind of animal.

SHow me ONE scientific evidence for evolution.

A genetic trait is not evolution. Seriously are you still in high school, learning this drivel?

Came across the following video from Bill Nye. Maybe it will help NaturalBorn understand the concept of evolution a little better.

Sure, "evidence". Just as much as any other holy book is "evidence" of the veracity of it's content.

And I'm still waiting for you to correct yourself on claiming that the Earth and Universe are 20 billion years old. I'm still waiting for you to give us what you think the definition of evolution is. You continuously don't even respond to my posts, and yet you claim you're getting no evidence. No (*)(*)(*)(*), you're avoiding posts outright. And why in the world are you asking for evidence of evolution on a forum? You clearly don't give a darn about whether what you're saying is true or not. Why don't you go talk to an actual biologist or something? Or try to take a course on the subject?

And we are supposed to believe that you were on the Ark and personally know how many kinds were on the Ark? LOL.

You are confusing (chemical) evolution with the Origin of Species evolving. Evolution happens, only the Origin of Species (evolving) is still controversial.

And all this time, I thought we were talking about the evolution of the automotive industry. Wow... how silly of me.

There are/were less than 2,000 KINDS of animals (mammals, birds, reptiles, lizards. etc., genera) breeding pairs would equal about 4,000 animals plus about 3,000 sheep to feed the carnivores and the few 'clean animals' for holy days.

With a capacity equal to over 520 railroad stock cars, there was plenty of room on the ark.

THAT IS THE MATH based on the Biblical account and science. You are arguing from an exaggerated number which you need to have your myth fit your caricature of the facts.

LOLOL.. and Noah trained the animal to poop in buckets so they wouldn't be neck deep in dung.

Six people taking care of 2000 animals for ....how many months was it?

How much manure would be produced by the larger animals, like elephants, a day....in addition to feces from the rest of the animals. In tons?

How much hay/grass would have been needed...in tons, please?

What about herbivores that don't eat grass, but eat nuts and fruits? How did they keep the fruit from spoiling?

Were all the species of land-based insects saved....including deadly poisonous ones? What about termites....bit dangerous to keep them for months....on a WOODEN boat, wasn't it?

Was the water drawn from off the side of the Ark? Was it fresh water? If it was...why didn't all the sea life that requires salt water die?

An adult African elephant can produce up to 300 pounds of dung each day!

Given 2000 animals, including other large mammals like rhinos, hippos, lions, tigers, bears...oh, my......can you imagine the sheer TONNAGE of poop that would be created every week onboard the Ark?

Just for the record, I think evolution is correct, that life evolves. I just think some intelligence was involved is all. Not a man looking god with fiery eyes, but something much greater than that, a tremendous intelligence that gives order, coherence. And I also think it is unknowable. So I will not ascribe anthropomorphic attributes to whatever it is. I think man has done that though. But it's an exercise in futility. And you learn more about the culture which assigned those attributes than what they assigned it to. Plus, not knowing is a humbling exercise. Deflates egos, which is always a good thing. LOL
