If gay marriage is great, okay to marry your sister?

The divorce rate has only been "improving" because so few people are bothering to get married in the first place. Obviously a couple can't get officially divorced if they never got married.

Many incestious unions have substantial amounts of manipulation and genetic risk to a potential child, not to mention marriage creates legal kinship where none previously exists — which is why only one marriage at a time is allowed — this isn’t needed in a sibling union as that kinship already exists.

Putting it this way. Same sex couples in the animal realm are not as uncommon as Christians would like it to be. From lions to pinguins. So who are some to say it's not normal when it's all around to be found? While marriage between siblings isn't such a problem, their offspring is a problem. Goes without saying.

 

Today, knowing all that we know in the 21st-century, then YES, it should be permissible to marry your sister! But, if you and your sister decide to have children of your own, and if the child turns out to have mental or physical problems, then that is entirely on YOU AND YOUR SISTER!

At no time, and for no reason can any difficulties caused directly or indirectly because of a person's decision to marry a sibling become a burden on the public, or on the government at any level! Enjoy freedom, but live responsibly!
