You were called a liar because you said taxpayers pay for abortions. They don't, the Hyde Amendment prohibits federal funding of abortions except for Medicaid patients in cases of rape, incest, and life of the woman.

You have been led to believe by "pro-life" sites that PP uses its federal funding for abortions. IT DOES NOT. Planned Parenthood is under constant scrutiny, and it has never been found to use tax dollars illegally. Planned Parenthood uses federal funding for other services including contraception and cancer screening, NOT FOR ABORTIONS.

If the couple have a meaningful relationship, then the decision is mutual. If they disagree, then the woman gets to decide, because the decision affects her body and life more than his. You can't really believe a man should be able to force a woman to undergo the physical, mental, emotional, and financial effects of pregnancy simply because he donated a sperm?

I would think that more times than not, it is the MAN who would want the woman to have an abortion if it is not a meaningful relationship. I do feel sorry that the man doesn't have more say, but that is just the way it is because, as you say, the woman's body is the actual incubator for the unborn child. Some of these men just need to realize that these things are dictated by biology and not by "fairness." LIFE isn't fair and nobody said it would be.

 

Whether you believe they should be made more personal is purely up to you .. I tend to deal in reality, and the reality is that a person is not expected to suffer injury because they took a risk, even you own car driving analogy shows this.
