Illinois to be the 10th state?

The Illinois State Senate just passed their same sex marriage bill. It will go to the State House in the next couple of weeks.

A pressing issue to be certain. It's not like their finances are in shambles or anything...

 

How does this support equality? Can polygamous relationships receive the same recognition? Why do you have to be "married" in order to get these benefits, anyway? Why can't my good friend and I take advantage of the same benefits that "married" couples do? This is not about "equality" but about expanding the system of freebies to yet another fabricated special interest group. Illinois' finances are a mess, why don't they try addressing that first?

I wasn't wishing death on anyone, only acknowledging demographics. You are an exception to the rule, for the most part, people who hold your views are older, and will be dead within the next couple of decades. Most of your contemporaries agree with me. Which you no doubt are well aware.

Yes i am aware most people my age disagree with me....

No I dont have hateful views. I just dont want any kids being raped... hence my opposition to gays in the military or in the boyscouts.... Its a movement... Being gay is a learned trait. I think I have a right to defend my future children from being influenced into a false lifestyle....

doubt it. not in the south and midwest. I dont see why they would push for such actions. However if the supreme court decides and buts in like it always done thats the only was this would happen across all 50 states anytime in the near future.
