    1. IT DOES NOT BREATHE!!

    the lungs are NOT a mature enough until 22 - 24 weeks and even then we have to intervene and hope

    All oxygen and nutrients are taken from the host body.

    And that support can be withdrawn at any time - with or without influence from "man"

    Ending RvW will in no way stop abortions

    What it will do is force them underground and in all probability end with them being in the hands of organised crime

    If it is getting oxygen from the host body then it is still breathing. You can't have life without oxygen.

    Wrong!

    The lungs only develop in the 3rd trimester so there is no "breathing" happening at 3 weeks.

    The FACT that lungs are one of the last parts to develop is why premature infants fail to survive outside the uterus. There ability to breathe air is a requirement for living an INDEPENDENT life. A fetus without lungs is NOT going to be able to live on it's own.

    Nonsense!

    Oxygen carried in the blood in NOT the same thing as breathing.

    In simple terms breathing enable oxygen to pass through the cell walls of the lungs and into the blood stream where it is carried throughout the body. A fetus receives all of it's oxygen 2nd hand from the lungs of the woman carrying it to term. The fetus has no ability to breathe in oxygen until AFTER it's own lungs start to develop.

    FTR this is just another glaring example of the anti-rightists who want to ban all abortions having next to zero subject matter knowledge.

    The lungs are there, they just haven't finished fully developing to the point the fetus can supply itself with enough oxygen on its own yet.

    That the lungs would be one of the last organs to develop makes sense, because under normal gestation conditions there is no air inside the uterus, and the fetus isn't going to need to breathe until right before it comes out.

    Those who want to make an exception for rape are certainly "playing god"...deciding which life is an "innocent child of God" and which isn't...


    If people having rights and Freedom and Liberty makes a person sad that's their problem...no one owes them happiness...they seem to selfishly care only about their own feelings ...

    Ahh but there is already talk in the pro abortion movement to allow for "post birth" abortions. I bet all you pro aborts support this! Exactly the dangerous slippery slope we warned against! How long before euthanasia? Eliminating the "undesirables"?

    :) Maybe if you knew there was a world before you were born you'd know that abortion has been around for thousands of years...it didn't start in the 20th century !!!:roflol:

    There is an abortion procedure documented in the OT of your bible. Your own deity ordered the Israelites to commit abortions. That PREDATES the disingenuous nonsense about eugenics by several millennia.
