    Did I read that right?
Last week a "Gospel" singer on America's Got Talent sang the atheist anthem Imagine?
Someone (apparently almost everyone for about 45 years) isn't paying attention to the lyrics.
I've posted about that before, but this time I'm so mad...
I changed the lyrics to make it a Gospel song!
Imagine life in Heaven for all the good and nice,

Burning forever in Hell, for lives of sin and vice.

Imagine all the people getting their just desserts

    oooohhh oooooooh.

You may say that this is crazy, that this world is never fair.

I say just keep a going on the wrong path if you dare.

Imagine peace and justice, every single day,

Everyone believing that Jesus is the way.

Imagine all the people, living life in peace.
    Oooooh ooooohhhh

It can happen if you join us, and on him your cares release.
Because Jesus is the answer and will give us lives of ease..

"Burning forever in Hell, for lives of sin and vice.".....or for daring to believe in science, reason, common sense, and critical thinking like Modern Secular Humanists do, instead of talking snakes, dragons, and an invisible talking dead guy.

"Heaven" is a supremacist Hindu-free zone.
"Heaven" is a supremacist Buddhist-free zone.
Jesus apparently wanted to keep out the riff-raff, I guess.

As a Modern Secular Humanist, I favor DIVERSITY, over the lack thereof in Jesus' magic exclusive gated community. "Heaven" seems kinda racist almost.

Have you ever experienced "Heaven"? No? Then you have no positive knowledge of what 'Heaven' really is, do you?

Imagine some of my closest friends and loved ones, who were some of the kindest and most supportive people I knew, being actively tortured for eternity because of what they believed, after decades of searching and earnest introspection? No thanks. Time to listen to something more life-affirming, accepting and less torturey. I'm sure I have some Cannibal Corpse around here somewhere.

I've never been to "Heaven", because Jesus is a supremacist, and John 14:6 clearly implies that no Hindus, Buddhists, etc. are getting in to his invisible, elitist, gated community in the sky, so like me, can you condemn Jesus if he did say what John 14:6 says, hypothetically?

You are far far more compassionate than the divine Jesus. You have more compassion in your little finger than he has in his whole (very decomposed now) body.

Hypothetically, anyone can say anything that they desire to say. On the other side of that coin is the potential repercussions that can manifest as a result of such hypothetical speech.

You have no positive knowledge of what heaven is either.

I don't believe you can show where I said that I do have any positive knowledge of Heaven. Want to give it a try?

So I'm going to assume that you are, well, let's say bigoted (no offense), against Hindus, etc. because you approve of the bigotry of Jesus in not allowing them, even moral ones like Gandhi(!), into his exclusive gated community in the sky.

It would be very very helpful to the world if Jesus/god were to give us a much much more detailed description of "heaven", obviously. So if you had Jesus alleged super-powers, would you, today (he's watching over us, allegedly), clearly show to us what "heaven" is like, since nobody knows? I would, how about you? Jesus won't, and I'm leaning towards thinking the reason for that is that he's not actually real.

Didn't say you did. Just pointing out the glaring hypocrisy (as usual)
You are telling others they have no positive knowledge of heaven when you have no idea yourself.

Yes, Jesus is a lousy, LOUSY, teacher.
Alpha, you'd give guided tours of heaven if you were in Jesus shoes today, that way more people would believe that it's true, and Jesus would therefore have to see that fewer people get tortured forever. I would, why the heck not!? I have a feeling you're more moral and caring than Jesus....would you give guided tours of "heaven" if you had that ability, unlike Jesus?

Of course, if people saw heaven was real then of course the majority of criminals would think twice about committing crime. What kind of savior waits and watches for people to hurt and kill innocent people? Secondly, why would a real god require people to worship him? Vanity is a sin. (according to them)

Speaking of hypocrisy, believe it or not some religions have texts that approve of slavery (yep), and their followers are steadfastly against slavery today, but yet they won't create versions of those texts that don't bring forward the parts that approve of slavery.....talk about hypocrites! "I'm very against slavery, but no I won't remove the parts of the book that APPROVE OF SLAVERY that I give to my impressionable young children, and tell them it's the best book of all time."

Is it possible to be religious and not hypocritical? It is possible to be a Modern Secular Humanist and not be a hypocrite, fortunately.

    Keep posting, Alpha.

If I had a time machine, I'd try to send you back in time to teach Jesus about this new thing we call, uh, wait, I forgot, hold on, oh yeah, "common sense", that's it. You use lots of common sense...way more than Jesus did. You do realize that I think you're better than Jesus, don't you?

We can also state as a matter of fact that time travel is not possible or else someone would have already travelled back and done that.

Yes, because Jesus clearly did not always use common sense does show that time travel is not possible.

We also know that time travel is not possible because no one went back in time and told Jesus to tell his disciples to "WRITE THIS STUFF DOWN, FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE, IT'S THE MOST IMPORTANT MESSAGE OF ALL TIME!" Instead, most of what he said was lost forever because it was handed down, verbally, yes, verbally (ever play Chinese Wispers!?) over many generations. See, let me explain something here, see that's because Jesus had no what we call "common sense", and....oh wait, you already know that. Damn, we really need to invent time travel!

I would have traveled back and stopped Hitler somehow, because Jesus was too lazy to stop him.

Again, you are speaking in hypothetical scenarios. You are wanting everyone to participate in your world of fantasies... day dreams.... Alice in Wonderland adventures. I outgrew that childhood many years ago.

Do you know the other old adage about the word "assume"? It goes something like this: 'assume' tends to make an 'ass' out of 'u' and 'me'. So go ahead and assume,,, but if I don't play into your game, then it is not me that is made to look like and 'ass'. BTW: the term 'ass' has many definitions, so don't even start to clamor about me saying that you look like one of those other definitions.

Back to personal insults already? Can you actually argue your point or is my perfect record destroying these arguments for over 40 years sill intact?

I just copy/pasted his response above into the Google Translate app >>>MOD EDIT Off Topic Removed<<< and it came back as: "I'm too afraid to let morality get in the way of my possible after-life, so I won't answer that tough question because Jesus has me scared s**tless with his threats of hell." :)

One of the best parts about being a Modern Secular Humanist is that we can actually answer questions.

40 years? Wait, you DO have a time machine, I knew it! Cough it up pal, because I wanna use it to go back in time and yell at Mohammad "DUDE, SHE'S NINE....NINE!!" And since I'll have a time machine, I'll probably first stop off and get Hitler to come back with me to help me out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MLry6Cn_D4
