Those are just the ready Iranian military forces and they have modern weapons, now we will eliminate that fast enough maybe a week tops but until them they could target our aircraft carriers and the like on the principle you use it or lose it. But that is not what will hurt us its non-conventional warfare its hard enough against the Taliban we are talking a nationalist zeal backed by religion and millions we have to suppress. And insurgency won't need much support to be sustained and if say 250,000 insurgents are active its going to be an issue.

And if not China Russia could be sympathetic, or Al Queda and other groups could commit resources.

I will note anyone the Iranians paper as military is military under the Geneva Conventions we also must look at POW camps for them, they will on principle have to POW our prisoners of war and that is not going to be easy or cheap.

Great post Milesian. I do not trust Iran. Before 9/11 I thought antagonist countries and groups like Iran were not serious when they made threats to destroy Israel and by proxy the USA, meaning the western way of life (read as representative democratic/capitalist republic) . I assumed they were saber rattling to keep what they perceived as wolves at bay. However, I have a new geopolitical perspective based on many credible situations and world events, as well as prophesy and other information. Its obvious from the geopolitical history of Europe including the ME that most prophesy has been fulfilled and only a few are left. When the few are fulfilled the last war will come. Incidentally, it’s not just bible prophesy that foretells the last war and such nightmarish things, there are other civilizations ‘spirituals’ that predict nearly the same Armageddon like fate of the world i.e.; Aztecs and Mayan, Egyptian and Tibetan as well as north American natives American tribes (all having similar predictions).

Anyway Iran may figure prominently in the coming new world order in a very bad way. Even though I have seen prophesy being fulfilled in the events of history and today on CNN (lol) I find myself fence sitting when it comes to using military force against them. When Iran they or another ME nation attacks Israel the first (of two maybe three times) they will lose 2/3rds of their population in one of the attacks. The attacks are fortold in the bible numerous times in what sounds eerily like a nuclear war*. However if Israel needs the USA we have no option but to assist her, which I would agree with 100%.

Well...the fat cat investors always need someplace to invest their ill gotten gains somewhere...war serves them well. Worry not....should OJ Romney be installed, you'll have your war by the end of January (and it will be the very last one).

What government do you think is a good moral/ethical alternative to our (USA's) democratic republic? Irans theocracy ? Or is it our economic system that you find unappealing? Also I see you have no country of origin are you a citizen of the USA, if so why?

Something other than a Kleptocracy would be worth consideration.

Why are you afraid to answer? Personally I am not fond of any government. However I can choose the lesser of evils which the USA is IMO, compared with any nation. Why do you fear to answer? Here in the USA we do not issue a death sentence Fatwa for someone being critical of our government etc. All governments are or can be evil, so the best we can hope to do is to choose the lesser of evils.

We are a Kleptocracy...not a Democracy...first things first. We serve the wealthy elite, who have a different set of rules they go by. We're running a billionaire that specializes in outsourcing jobs and profiting from them, for President of the United States. To me...that's just sick. That last administration started wars for no particular reason, except maybe to have war invested fat cats make some more money. Far as government, unfortunately we need it; otherwise corporate conglomerates would run unchecked and have us all working for free (which has arguably already been accomplished to some degree). The problem is that government is in bed with corporate America, and that equates to the influence of fat cat agendas. Therefore, MONEY is the overriding factor, replacing morality, decency, and everything else. MONEY runs our system....politically, or any other way you care to argue. We are now, the United States of the corporation.... of, for and by the corporation. We serve it....it doesn't serve the people. Something very wrong with that picture IMO.
So, to answer your inquiry...no...I'm certainly not "afraid" so to speak. I simply see no point in pretending we're some kind of democracy.....WE AREN'T. We serve the few....the 1%. The only thing I can do is vote against the party that consistently and boldly represents the 1%, which I am doing this time around by voting against the biggest fat cat corporatist this country has ever seen. Good day.

Well, we could start with one that isn't "by, for and of the corporation". Whatever one advocates that kind of government, I'd be interested in considering.

Romney is a disaster on legs.
At the moment, he's just one more idiot with daft policies and a big mouth, if he gets the white house, he becomes an extremely dangerous idiot who'll oversee countless deaths all over the world.
We, just for the Americans here, are looking at a few thousand more of your people in body bags and that's only of you're lucky.
