OK at least I tried to have a reasonable discussion with you. You believe whatever is comfortable for you to believe.

Someone please point to me a system that is racist. That specifically says "no" to black people.

I voted yes and I lean right. Although I think the systemic racism isn’t what you describe. I believe whites are held back. Safe spaces, affirmative action, Biden giving farmers assistance so long as they’re not white, the fact that POC are preferred in the commercial industry. There is not one legislative action that specifically excludes people of color yet there is for whites. Whites are the ones being oppressed.

Funny as it may sound, you can not draw parallels in equivalent legislation against people of color.

What is the motivation for redlining today?

Saying "because racism!" is circular reasoning.

There is no racism in the criminal prosecution of blacks or other minorities today. Does "bail reform" ring a bell?

If anything, prosecutors and judges bend over backwards to give blacks a break. The judges live in their communities and want people of every color to turn towards the good. Throwing them all in prison, they realize, is not the answer.

I can't tell that there is any kind of a criminal justice system in San Francisco, Chicago, or NYC at all. Before it's over with, they will be paying people to jump bail, assault elderly Asians, carjack, or smash and grab.

A white boy in east Texas abusing a chd or selling dope is far more like to get the max than is a black man.

It sounds like anecdotal reasoning because it's an anecdote. I frankly think the story of "double the other two" is an utter fabrication or, at best, a freakish outlier.

Free advice: This victim mentality that you picked up from God knows where should be ditched for the sake of your own self esteem and happiness. Yes, even if it's true..

Emulate Shaquille O'Neal if you like black role models. He happens to be mine, and I wish he'd run for president.

You dont understand what they mean by "systemic racism". Discriminating against poor neighborhoods would have a disparate impact upon blacks, so by their definition, discrimination against poor neighborhoods is systemic racism.

Just put the goal posts where ever you like and you'll always be a winner.
    I covered that in #11
I would very much be interested in any factual proof of these assertions or is this just coming from an accumulation of confirmation bias and gut feelings.
It seems you didn't read the citation. Willful ignorance?

I practiced criminal law in East Texas for years and may resume in the Spring. I don't expect you to take my word for it, as I'm sure my white privilege is showing.

It is mostly white boys in the east Texas countryside, therefore it's mostly white boys (and girls) in jail, and the courts hammer them every day. I could send you some listings on the Texas Department of Corrections website, showing their expected release date, from which you can extrapolate their sentences, but you'd think I was making it all up.

I acknowledge that blacks are statistically overrepresented in prison. Many of the jurors who sent them there are black. I've seen it in operation many times. In person.

So you got nothin' to back up ridiculous statements like "prosecutors and judges bend over backwards to give blacks a break" and clearly uniformed opinions.
So you're good with being willfully ignorant?

Black cops treat black suspects exactly as white cops do. If not rougher.

Blacks are also incredibly over represented in basketball.

    Racism?

How about the mens 100m Olympic event? racism too? Is it racism only when blacks over represent bad things? HAS to be the boogey man?

If I follow your train of logic of assuming because representation is not equal then it HAS to be racism. Let's follow that logic into areas we both know the concept sounds ridiculous. And then you will understand how ridiculous it is to read someone that assume racism everywhere.

Now you could say that businesses are hard on poor people. That would be something more reasonable.

But there are far, FAR too many successful black people in the united states. We just had a black president holding the highest office of power in the world. If America was systemically racist, it's doing a piss poor job of it.

Yes, there is plenty of sytemic racism happening in 2021. Every instance in which one group is given favour or is excluded on the grounds of race, is systemic racism.

    Them too.

It's the action of favouring or excluding which makes it racism though ... it doesn't matter who the players are.

I have no idea what "train of logic" you are following because it has nothing to do with what I wrote. Let me make it simple for you. There is a house. If a white owns it, he gets a dollar appraisal. If a black owns it, his dollar amount is less for the same house. That is a racist system and wide spread.

Depends where the house is. However with the housing market around me, you don't see the buyer...you just see the agent. you have no idea who owns the property and it sells on it's own accord.

I currently have a lawsuit pending against rhe NBA for all the teams' conspiracy to deny me, a white guy, my rightful place on a team, any team. I can play any position and would accept the same salary that the average guy gets. I don't say I'm better than Kevin Durrant. But I'm just as good.

So far, the judge has refused to even set my case for trial. More evidence of racism.

Oh but yes, my dear, I do. I'm an eye witness thereto. (I thought you liked anecdotal evidence, LOL.) Did you even eye witness this one appraisal anecdote that you trot out here every few months. I have ten anecdotes to your one.

(Anyone who wants proof of Edna's obsession with this crazy appraisal anecdote needs only look at some of her earliest posts on the forum.)
