I agree with you. Some reason no administration wants to go after these Cartels with “ Full Force of US MIGHT” . USA has been fighting cartel since 70s but some reason US don’t want go with full force. Another irony is that US foreign policy toward South America failed miserably since 60s.

 

I agree that 'the Wall' was a very bad idea from start to finish, it's a matter of record that Trump flat-out lied about who was going to pay to build it! You don't even begin to get an accurate idea of just how bad an idea it was until you've done a lot of jeeping out in the Trans-Pecos region of Texas. I have, and please trust me on this -- nobody but a complete moron would try to build and maintain a border wall anywhere from about Sanderson, Texas, all the way to Tornillo, Texas (suburb of El Paso). Truth? Trump's best idea (never implemented) was to pay for a substantial portion of the 'the Wall' by putting a hefty tax on REMITTANCES! Ask anyone who works at the customer service desk in any supermarket how many foreigners send those back home!

My opinion about the lethality of landmines was amended after that posting in April 2017, and changed to be lethal AND non-lethal. Also, I proposed giving at least a 30-day warning in several different languages, repeated over and over, along with lots of signage at the border about the landmines, the patrolling drones, etc. Plus, the landmines were only to be deployed in areas where there were LOTS of illegal crossings -- but again, with lots of warning with audio announcements 24/7 over loudspeakers, and, very visible signage!

The idea wasn't to kill or maim citizens of foreign countries -- no -- it was to tell them that our country is our country... that we have laws that pertain directly to the entry of foreigners into our country, and that we will enforce those laws to the max... period!

Can you name the policy/policies you are talking about? I'd like to know exactly what policy/policies you consider racist... and maybe WHY. Ducks aren't concerned with race... they waddle. (Sorry, when folks use the race card I have a tendency to get a bit skeptic.)

That's ridiculous. People crossing in illegally come from over 150 nations. They are white, black, brown, and every color under the sun. Without secure borders you don't have a country at all. Are you one of those folks that think rain water is racist?

What his sign says is Intruders have a right to everything you have but not me.

It's a pathetic attempt at a virtue signal but it falls flat because not only is there no virtue in it, it's hypocrisy.

 

Perhaps there is a payoff within our "deep state". That could be a bi-partisan payoff. There is a ton of money to go around!

 

Racist policy by definition is not freedom. We have no racist policies that I am aware of other than affirmative action. When you and liberals can't let go of defining human beings by race, there will always be racism on your part. You can't see the soul of an individual so you can't let racism ever die.

 

My suspicious nature makes me want to agree with this and we certainly seen national bureaucracies engaging in very nasty criminal behavior in the southern part of the hemisphere. CIA pedophiles for example. I know this is the DEA and it's completely different agency but that kind of still has the same level of untouchable-ness to it.

Though I'm sure there's some people's profiteering off the whole thing but I think the most likely explanation for why they can't control the cartels as incompetence. I think that's worse than malice because the pretending that they have competence is in itself malice it's malice to cover up incompetence.

These agencies operate on funding. They have to absolutely prove their competence to continue getting funding.

So there's not a huge motivation to eliminate cartels which would be that hard to do. I just got to fight it enough to look like they're actually doing something.

Think of it like that store employee that just doesn't care and they're only being paid just enough not to be on their phone but not enough to give a **** about your problems. That's our federal government.
