Israeli scientist Daniel Shechtman won the 2011 Nobel Prize in chemistry

A very slow person would already know that the man's nationality is not being questioned. What is being lampooned is the false claim of his ' Israeli-ness '. I say this because Israel doesn't deserve any accolades itself. It's an undemocratic sore on the ass-end of the Middle East. Again, I congratulate the man on his achievements- but his nationality has nothing to do with those achievements. He was born in Palestine and made his major discoveries in America. So shut the hatch on the ' Israeli-ness ' bollox. Hitler isn't infamous for being an Austrian.

those who have helped science move forward despite opposition from within their ranks are the heroes of science, and should be recognised for their achievements.

 

Given the number of discussions on Israel and the Middle East it's important to note the western, progressive, democratic nature of Israel, the culture of innovation, science, technology, education...

Needless to say that's not what you want to hear as all you want is to demonize Israel all day long. Tough luck.

If you can take a line item that is using a term to identify a 'hebrew' then why do people not see that man can 'create' beliefs, themselves?
