As the title states as of Jan 20th 2022 it’s almost been a year since I have worn a mask and proud of it. I’m wondering if anyone else is the same way. If a place requires me to wear a mask I go somewhere else. Not everyone are mask Nazis. I also have been to theaters with no mask. I have been to many restaurants with no mask. I have been to many gas stations with no mask. I have been to plenty of shopping stores like Walmart, Target, gun stores, clothing stores, etc with no mask.

how many other people are doing the same thing? Can anyone beat my record yet?

I live in Florida where that's usually not an issue. The exceptions are of course doctor's offices and theme park property, but if a place is going to require a mask, I'll wear a mask. It's theater but some times you have to appease the savages.

Yeah, but to be fair you have all that Ivermectin washed down with Lysol so you must feel very safe.

I didn't wear one when this began and I don't wear one now.
I don't see the point in using a 3 cent paper mask designed for fluid transfer to protect me from a .03 micro aerosol virus.
It would be like putting up a chain link fence to stop mosquitos.

As supported by the infection rate while MOST of the country was dawning their paper mask proves.

I live in Florida, so we had mandates well into 2021, and now they are worn again in many places, - even cemeteries require them. If most people wear them in grocery stores etc, then I do too as a courtesy. Miami was discussing mandating them again in most places.

I've never worn one and never will. They are all but useless. If you are wearing an N95 mask and I fart next to you, you are going to smell it, 100% guaranteed. The only thing that a mask or face shield help to protect you from is spit or someone sneezing in your face. Do you see scientist at the CDC and WHO wearing a cloth mask or simple face shield while working with COVID samples? No, you do not. They are wearing fully self-contained hazmat suits with supplied air. But by all means, go on believing your little paper mask is going to save you...

I wear mine when the place I am visiting requires it, via signage at the door for instance. Practically, I don't think they do anything meaningful to protect me or anyone else from anything other than my infectious good looks.

Ah, so you don't understand how a virus can be suspended in droplets far bigger than itself. Got it.

If you put 100 people in a room that are fully vaccinated, with both shots and 2 boosters, and everyone is wearing a proper mask, there are people in that room that are still going to get COVID. Long story short, the whole mask thing is political theater, as evidenced by the many politicians (mostly Democrat) that have been caught out and about without wearing one. Rules for thee but not for me....

You must not get out much. Unless you exist in the alternate reality created by Trumpworlder's where the election was stolen, the "charity" Don established as his piggy bank still exists, Mueller exonerated him, you don't need glasses to look at the eclipse, and masks don't work.

I have no idea what all that ranting means, but to wear a mask you think is protecting you from a virus, that the manufacture states right on the box won't protect you from that virus, really speaks for itself. Doesn't it.

Clearly, you are not travelling. I wear a mask in any situation - indoors - where I am in contact with people. The only exception is restaurants, and I am only going to those occasionally to provide financial support to an industry that has suffered.

Fauci says nearly everyone will get omicron. This, regardless of masks, vaccines, distancing, etc. This should indicate something about the usefulness of masks. Still, I wear one as a courtesy in places that want to require them, but I don't believe they do anything meaningful to prevent the spread of covid, and apparently neither does Fauci.

Mueller declares his Russia report did not exonerate Trump

Our review of the literature offers evidence in favor of widespread mask use as source control to reduce community transmission: Nonmedical masks use materials that obstruct particles of the necessary size; people are most infectious in the initial period postinfection, where it is common to have few or no symptoms (45, 46, 141); nonmedical masks have been effective in reducing transmission of respiratory viruses; and places and time periods where mask usage is required or widespread have shown substantially lower community transmission.

The available evidence suggests that near-universal adoption of nonmedical masks when out in public, in combination with complementary public health measures, could successfully reduce Re" role="presentation" style="-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; box-sizing: border-box; display: inline; line-height: normal; word-spacing: normal; overflow-wrap: normal; white-space: nowrap; float: none; direction: ltr; max-width: none; max-height: none; min-width: 0px; min-height: 0px; border: 0px; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; position: relative;">ReRe to below 1, thereby reducing community spread if such measures are sustained. Economic analysis suggests that mask wearing mandates could add 1 trillion dollars to the US GDP (32, 34).

I'll let you fight the CDC on that. When you wear cloth masks, the type I most commonly see out and about, they are of limited effectiveness. N95 masks are a different story. They are highly effective against viral transmission. I just don't see a lot of them.

I moved to Florida 11 months ago and that was the end of my mask use.
I wear a mask only if I go to a doctors office or an airport.

Progs from up north don’t know that we have 4 legitimate treatment options widely available - 2 monoclonal antibodies and 2 pills.
Ivermectin is for those poor conservative souls who are stuck up north and are prevented from getting legitimate treatment.
