In Trump's case, it's what happens when your political opponents want to weaponized the justice system to keep you from running for office.
Actually, it's what happens when anyone engages in possible illegal activities. The Justice dept is separate.
Psychologists are studying this phenom NOW. As they should. We are watching a process happen... but we are not certain as to how this phenom will end up. It just might mean a MASSIVE change in how the US operates... Or reality will hit home and the Trump factor will recede. Not sure we can rely on the legal system asit has become polarized and political . (due to the T factor)
This has been decided and argued in courts over and over. If the president (or police) determine there is an imminent threat, due process is not required. I
So, what needs to be done? Tear down the existing system, suspend the Constitution and start from scratch to create a system where one party gets its way all the time?
You replied to my post discussing Smiths attempt at rushing the proceedings.Your intent is not clear. Are you trying to say this means that Smith is not trying to rush the proceedings? Why are you discussing the judge?
Yes, under AUMF, the president can order a strike on American if they pose an imminent threat to our country. Similar to how police have immunity to protect against imminent threats. And a private citizen can't order strikes. There is legal protection there. There is NOT legal protection for committing crimes for personal gain.
No, we aren't. We're talking about the SC taking on the question of immunity. IMO, they did it because they know there is no legal justification to give him immunity. So they did the next best thing. Delay the trial so it does not happen before the election. Which is clearly against the interests of the public and in the interests of Trump.
Assuming of course Fani's flatulant BS ever goes to trial. Right now it looks about 90% certain that she and lover boy are pulled from the case 70% that they get disbarred for perjury and maybe even a vanishingly small chance that they get jail time for same. If they have to find another DA in Georgia to try that case I'd say there is at least a 75% chance there is a move to drop it in the nearest dumpster where it belongs.
None of which actually contain anything actually illegal. The Georgia case is about to die. Jack's case is on life support The Hush money case is absurd on it's face. The last one is pathetic.
Yes, we are talking about Obama. Look, I know you only want the law applied to Trump, but in the real world, that ain't gonna happen...lol
