It's not the rich that take your money without asking

It's the government.

Why do all liberals hate the rich?

I'm just sick of hearing people demand the rich give them their money, when the rich allready gave them i.e. their computer in exchange for your money.

 

Agreed. The government is the epitome of organized crime.

You get nothing for your taxes except less freedom.

 

Of course they dont. Not all of them are guilty. But there are a few that pay off the government to take our wealth from us and give to them.

I sure as hell dont like paying for ethanol subsidies, Oil subsidies, outta control military spending, subsidizing corporate outsourcing of Industry, Giving Israel.. Egypt etc.. Billions of dollars a year in hand outs.. Funding wacko healthcare policy pharmacuetical giveaways like medicare part d.

A rich guy cant come directly to me and take my money without paying with his life... but they sure can get the government to write a check and put on my tab cant they...

 

People are venting because the cost of living goes up always.

Also, the richest people's wealth is measured in tens of billions, meanwhile the average citizen in the US is lucky to earn $1-2 million in their entire life.

 

The cost of living has risen ever since the US got off the gold standard.

Number One, you are confusing the Liberal Party as distinct from the Liberal Party Agenda. The Liberal Party is about as far from being a democratic capitalist party as the Labor Party are from being a socialist party.

Liberal Party doctrine would have the rich pay no taxes, well actually no one would pay taxes. Everything would be "user pays", even government services, everything else would be privatised, roads, military, police.

So if you wanted your house protected, remember there is no "state" police, for that we would need, Oh no ... taxes; you would hire a private police service.

Now the poor don't have a lot of stuff, so maybe they hire a few dudes to guard their community. The rich on the other hand have all the goodies, so they hire mountains of security to guard not only their goodies, but their butts as well. So yeah, as a poor guy I say bring it on ...

Now the road companies want to be rich too, and why not, being rich is great now, no nasty taxes. The best way to sell my roads is by usage. Now Mr Fox, your usage is (12567321893456 hours ..... times .... ..5678345632 tonnes ... um plus ....348765987643kms less your bulk rate discount of 87.6% less your shopper dockets .... thats's mmm let me see ..)

Now mine is (1 x bicycle x 7 days x 20 kms from home to salt mine .. $27.50)

Oh the brass bands, the bright shiny soldiers marching, your own corporate box at the big parade and it's all free, free food cooked by some of the military's finest catering companies, free wine as you watch all the latest military equipment being shown to you, and all for free.

And why not, heck you pay enough insurance lol (that's "Laugh Out Loud") in case you don't know.

For some reason, when the government takes money and personal savings from successful working Americans by forcing them to pay higher and higher taxes, in the mind of a liberal this somehow is not "theft"!

Well the Government provides the money... so essentially the rich are actually benefiting more from the Government than anyone else.

The rich can afford to pay more. In fact in portions they pay less than the middle class. That's just stupid.

The middle class and poor cannot afford to pay anything else.

The difference between a man who makes $40k a year and one who makes $150k, is one thing. Investment. The $40k earner can be making the same wage, $150k, if he saves half his money per year $20k, and puts it into a security getting a conservative 6% interest + inflation, he'll be making $150k a year in 7.07 years in interest alone. But then again why is average joe making $40k a year? Because lets be honest he aint that smart and he doesn't want to save money either, and he probably knocked some chick up and doesnt have the time to live 7 years on the brink of poverty. You ask me I have no sympathy.

This is just gibberish...The private sector *does* create wealth out of thin air. Wealth is not a resource which should be distributed equally, it is created by demand alone. If you want people to stop being rich, do one thing, stop demanding their product. Once again, the rich don't take your money without asking, the government does.

The rich pay 35% income tax and the poor pay none. What were you saying about the rich pay less portions?

Why is it that they believe they are gyped when someone creates wealth on the other side of the planet. They believe they deserve something for knowing it occurred. Doesnt sound too intellectually superior to me.

Second thought, how is their morals? Those things are extremely useless and dangerous without morals. And it appears they have none if they are so greedy and envious as to support a higher tax rate for those who created more wealth than them.

You know... in many ways I think it is just plain easier to be liberal. Others tell you how and what to think, what words to use, which phrases sound good, and whom to hate. Not a lot of thinking going on there. And when challenged, just call people ignorant, or racist, or claim that if you do not agree with them, then people will starve on the streets! It really is pretty simple, and if you do all of that.... you get to be a member of the club. You are accepted and loved by the group. All you had to do was say you can see "five" lights.... when you know there are only "four".


It literally has gotten to the point that in almost any conversation I will have with a very liberal minded person, I can predict what the script will be before hand. Sometimes to knowing word for word what phrases will be used. It is that predictable and lacking in original thoughts or ideas. Don't believe me? Try this one.... the next time a very liberal minded person tells you for example,,, "what we really need in this country is comprehensive immigration reform!!!". Do not argue..... but ask.... "I hear what you are saying..... but perhaps you can help me understand what that phrase actually means?". And then they will usually say something like... "Well you know.... the immigration policy... it needs to be reformed because it is not working... and it also needs to be comprehensive so it will be fair to everyone..." And then they will smile at you like they made a great point. And then to really make their head spin ask, "Ok... could you explain what that means using words other than comprehensive immigration reform?" And then they will just look at you blankly... and chage the subject as soon as possible. Seen it happen lots of times....

 

That person that you engaged is ignorant and operates on talkingpoints.. much like a soundbite conservative... You cant really call that person a liberal.
The founding politicians of this country were flaming Liberals.. Martin Luther King was a flaming Liberal.. a real liberal would talk your ear off about immigration reform.

The term liberal has been co-opted by neo-cons... hell the term Conservative has Co-opted by neocons and Neo-libs to the point where they dont resemble anything close to what the words really describe.

Nobody is a pure liberal or a pure conservative.. to be so would be to exclude rationality and common sense for idealism and conformity.

The rich give a far smaller proportion than the not-rich, in reality.
