But disputes which cannot be effectively remedied by state courts get escalated through the appellate system to the Supreme Court. You know that.

The Courts are going to be VERY reluctant to throw out batches of votes that may contain a mix of legal and illegal votes. Disenfranchising 1,000 legal
votes to block 100 illegal votes isn't going to sit well with anyone who has sworn to uphold the rights of individual American Citizens.

Courts may throw out votes that fall under certain parameters. Courts may also force recounts with both parties scrutinizing ballots as was done with hanging chads.

Trump did not defeat himself. In a sense he has won. More than 70 million(!) Americans voted for him, largely due to the Corona virus.
    People without a job.
    People without money.
People homeless due to the above reasons.
Millions of Americans relying on foodbanks so as not to starve to death.
People in one way or another affected by the social and financial apocalypse of the Corona virus.

It's the age old story of depressed, jobless, moneyless, homeless people turning to the only voice they think can still save them; not a voice of reason or solutions but the voice of blame. It wasn't an American virus that killed more than 200 000 Americans, Trump said. Oh, No! it was the China-virus!
So not an American problem but some foreign intervention.

This is what all fascists do; always blame someone or something else.
Blame the Jews, blame the Muslims, Blame the Chinese, blame the fake news media etc etc
And then promise golden mountains that will never arrive to a suffering population.

HOW MANY MORE AMERICANS would have died under four more years of Trump?!

The Corona virus is now the Great Depression of our times and America ALMOST re-elected a dictator because of it.

America in 2020 stared into the abyss of Trump but decided to turn away at the last moment.
Germany in the 1930's fell into it and at the bottom found Hitler...

    Let the lesson be learned, again;
Don't offer your head to a tiger if you don't want to get bitten.

I have no problems with recounts. Just remember it is very unlikely they will change the tally by more than a few hundred votes - they never do.

It's rapidly getting to the point where it won't matter if they throw out ALL of them

I'm a huge defender of the EC.

Yes, each state requires the ballots be properly postmarked.

I'm done taking your quiz. You either want to understand or not. You take it from here.

This election is different in that never before were unsolicited ballots sent out to every registered voter in America with little safeguards in place and a multitude of opportunity for fraud.

    What is this lie?

I wasn't sent an unsolicited ballot.

Hm. None of my friends received one.

Hm. None of my family received one.

    Hm.

    Ponderous.

Why are you posting such easily refuted crap? Only 10 states sent out unrequested ballots to voters - and of those, only Nevada is in the late contest. Pennsylvania, Arizona, Georgia did not send out unrequested ballots.

Why would you lie about that?

My error. Never before has mail in voting been so easy to do and so widely done with so little safeguards. That makes this an election like no other and recounts will defy historical precedent.

*sigh* Whatever. Americans have cast millions of votes every election by mail for decades, but I know you are so emotionally invested in
Trump that the orange googles have to remain fixed.

Are you saying she doesn't have a long and successful career? Nobody is demeaning her to just her gender and race except naysayers. Believe it or not, minorities are just as intelligent, hard working and capable as anybody else.

Actually I have no emotional involvement whatsoever. I'm old and near death so this entire process is academic to me. I have Spock like detachment and no dog in the fight.
What I do have is interest and a belief in America and free and fair elections that are essential to keeping America from devolving into just another in a long line of false democracies throughout history.

I saw an interesting letter to the editor sent to the Los Angeles Times:

"Look at what he's been doing since election day. In fact, what he's doing was entirely predictable, because he's been saying he would do this for months: He is trying to steal an election by disenfranchising thousands, if not millions, of voters. Using the full power of his position, he is arguing that Americans who didn't vote for him shouldn't have their ballots tabulated.

Was it in the "national interest," as the letter writer claims Trump cares about, to try to delegitimize a free and fair election?

I'm amazed that 70 million people fully knew that Trump would do this — subvert our most essential and basic right as citizens of a democracy — and still voted for him. No amount of rationalizations can justify that."

See, you show your lack of knowledge when you claim lack of safeguards.

This indicates you don't actually know what safeguards were put in place.

Which state, specifically, didn't create enough safeguards and which specific safeguard did they miss, in your opinion?

Again, please be specific. I've listened to the head election official from each of these states, and read up on their rules. I find them quite thorough. So, I'll need you to be very specific?

Do you think more than one republican and democrat should be reviewing each mail in ballot? Do you think two people isn't enough to validate a signature?

    Where is your issue?

Trump got 62,984,828 votes in 2016. Today, so far, he is at 70,276,397. That's an 18% increase in people supporting the President.

People "hating" Trump and voting for dementia man have simply succumbed to the emotional propaganda drivel spouted by 4 years of Don Lemon, Chris Cuomo, Joe Scarborough, Rachel Maddow, Joy Reid and the like.

The expected Blue Wave in the House, Senate and Executive Office they based on fear, hate and Hollywood donations failed spectacularly. Can't wait for 2022!
