After listening to Comey, the only take away I have is that he thinks that being self deprecating is in his best interest. All this "ah shucks" seems remarkable given his reputation as a close in knife fighter. Perhaps he will believe that his public testimony will in some way make him less damaged should he consider a more public political position. You know, one that needs an election to produce... His answers are bait. He "thought" when he wasn't directly told. He "infers" without a basis to do so. He tells us that he doesn't know Trump at all in any detail, then turns around and then makes these inferences about what he "thought" or "felt" or otherwise cannot be asked to produce any credible evidence of, other than his own testimony. He seems exceptionally smarmy in this respect. More, he is obviously disgruntled. He obviously has a titanic sized ego. The important things to note here are, Comey wasn't told to drop the Flynn investigation, nor was he told to drop the Russian investigation. Comey invented that inference all by himself. Seems like adequate justification for not keeping him.
"I don't know him well" "I could be wrong" "I got the feeling" "If I were stronger" Can we talk about facts, not feelings, please?
No, it's really not. We all know you want it to be, but it's not looking that way. Better luck next time
This is so freakn dumb, I cant believe democrats are this freakn stupid. The whole Russia thing is based on idiotic democrats claiming internet trolls from Russia posted WikiLeaks revelations on facebook, which lead to hillarys defeat. Really, that's what democrats claimed. Any sane human would instantly know its bs, sour grapes
Why? He had no problem evaluating whether what Clinton did was illegal - and he was not directly involved.
Exactly the point I made. Now, help us understand how any of the above translate into actionable litigation?
"We are not investigating you." -Comey says he told Trump He was so concerned about his feelings that Comey gave info to a friend so he can give it to the press. Now we're starting to see how all the leaking materializes.
The questions ask that Comey interpret the mindset of the President. Comey comes across as reasonable and rational by couching his comments when being asked to interpret.
Worst Congress Ever. They'd waste their times on this, instead of say, the infrastructure bill that we ALL agreed on, in a bipartisan manner. Lefties, your obsession with the Ruskies is interfering with domestic legislation.
I've always said that phishing, fake news, and social media meddling was a given. Hacking the DNC I'm not so sure about.
1) He still won by 1,774 counties and 10 states. 2) That's why national popular vote doesn't decide an election. 3) Nobody cares that 40% of a group of 350 randomly chosen people approve of him. 4) There are plenty of accomplishments, and Trump still has 3 and a half years to go before he's elected again. My turn. What's one message the democrats have to offer Americans besides "Trump and his supporters are evil racists and bad, vote for us so we can stop Trump!"
