I don't think Trump actually ever expected to be President, and that's been the consensus of many people in my close circle. But I'm glad he beat Hillary and he is surprisingly doing better than I ever expected.

I deleted the rest for brevity. I think America IS great. My parents were immigrants, became citizens, owned a house, raised 4 kids. I had my Master's degree fully paid for by a company I worked for. (My wife and I have BS degrees we financed with government loans that we paid off). I am retired now, and am debt free except for a mortgage I could pay off with IRAs, but have no reason to do so. I raised 3 kids, put them all thru college and set them off debt free with a good used car. I have a new house, a nice used boat, and enjoy life. The only other country I considered living in was Australia (got to see Sydney on R&R). America is not perfect, but is sure looks good to me.
