    You could bet your money that if Germany had still been able to fight effectively against us they would have been nuked. They would have been nuked more than twice and far before the Japanese ever were. There was no pity spared for the Germans.

    Probably not, but that's not really the point. Dropping atom bombs on Japan had little to do with ending the war. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were demonstrations of American power with the Soviets in mind. The Russians wanted to be one of the occupying powers in post war Japan, obliterating a couple of cities was our way of saying no.
