The 6 yr old JonBonet was in kiddie beauty pageants, which does not rake in wealth for the parents, like child movie stars would, and it's the parents who pay for the attire their child wears and we've all seen the elaborate outfits the girl wore. It had been stated enuf times the Ramseys were a wealthy and influential couple in Boulder. He owned his own business........

Patsy had been a former beauty pageant winner herself and I always felt she was trying to re-live her glory days thru her daughter, which is disgusting. And yes, the little girl was robbed of her innocent childhood. They all are when forced to participate in these kinds of things that sexualizes them....and the brother probably was jealous of his sister, having to grow up in the shadow of her being a popular beauty pageant winner......

Burke did stay in bed when his mother ran into his room, shouting, ran out, then a cop went into his room. He just quietly laid there during all this and stayed there....so the parents and he said. Normal 9 yr old are up and asking questions under these circumstances.

Who's cashing in on this? It's a 20 yr old unsolved mystery that's still looking for answers.......

What the hell are you talking about? No one ever put the murdered child in the same category as a 'homeless wait' and what does starvation have to do w/anything?.....oh, never mind! Go back to sleep.........

I watched a 2 hr program last night on this case. They brought in a team of experts, who went thru each and every aspect of the crime, including the so-called 'ransom' note. From the beginning, I never believed that 2 1/2 page, rambling 'ransom' note was written by an intruder and according to this team, no it absolutely wasn't. It took 21 minutes to write it and that was only coping it, not having to take the time to think of what to say by the writer.......

The 911 call was very revealing. Patsy made the call, didn't get the phone hung up correctly and the 911 operator could hear voices in the background, but not clearly. 20 yrs later, thru technology enhancement of background voices/sound, the team heard what sounded like Burke say 'what did you find?" The dad said 'we're not talking to you", etc.

After the cops arrived, Ramsey left the house for 1.5 hours. If your child disappeared out of her bed and the cops are called, why would he want to leave? But he did and they let him.....

As we all know, the Ramseys refused to cooperate w/the cops. They also told their friends not to talk to the reporters and cops. One of these friends said she did and the Ramseys and other friends of their's shunned the woman after that........if you're innocent, you cooperate w/the police and expect your friends to do the same.

Don't remember the gent's name, but he has been a forensic expert for decades and well-known. When the Ramseys were asked if he could go into their home and do his job, they flatly refused to let him in. Well, gee! I wonder why they wouldn't want an expert like him to help in finding the killer of their little girl?

This same gent explained the crushing blow to the child's head by a heavy object, which matched the flashlight in their kitchen and if another child could have done the act. The gent said it would not take a lot of strength to cause such damage and even death. They brought in a 10 yr old boy to swing that flashlight on a replica of a 6 yr old's head and the results were exactly what the expert said it would be. Yeah, a 9-10 yr old kid can kill a younger child........

I wonder if Dr. Phil was watching this? He really started to annoy me when he kept saying about Burke - "He was only 9 yrs old!" Kids that age have killed their younger siblings, McGraw. Why don't you know that?

2 hrs of VERY interesting facts and more to come tonight........

Not having read this thread yet, yes, I have it figured out. (lol.)

Burke hit JB with the flashlight, Scrambled her brain. He went to get Patsy, then went back to bed, not knowing how seriously he had injured her. Then John and Patsy, realizing JB was either dead or dying, staged the kidnapping. When Burke awoke, they told him kidnappers had taken her and she was now in heaven.

Long story short, Burke whacked her and probably to this day doesn't even know he killed her. He has led a very sheltered life and John and Patsy have covered up for him. They had to protect their family, come what may.

I recall some time ago there was some guy who swore he knew
who killed Jon Benet. In fact,he was so sure he feared for his life.
I think he lived in California and then moved to some place like
Atlanta or Memphis.I need to check back into that.I think he claimed to
have proof. Not just a Letter but some kind of tidbit fact that was undeniable.

I had also always felt pretty much the same thing. Someone in their house killed the child and good possibility it was the 9 yr old brother. And it was clearly demonstrated last night that a 9-10 yr old kid would have the strength and it wouldn't take that much to cave in a child's head w/that size flashlight, causing death......

It was said that when it happened, the PD was told to treat the Ramseys w/kid gloves b/c of their wealth and status in Boulder.

Yeah, they sure did.....it was the most screwed-up police investigation ever.

The last of a 4 episode Dr. Phil is today, and the other 2 hours of the CBS special is tonight.

I expect Burke to be charged, but not with murder. I don't think he killed her on purpose. I think they got into a fight over Christmas toys and he whacked her, not having any idea the damage a heavy flashlight would do.

Patsy went to her grave knowing her little boy killed her little girl. What a burden!

Oh, and there was no rape. I've read the autopsy report and there's no evidence of rape or previous sexual assault.

I think it's Report 96A-155, or something like that. Do a search for her autopsy report and read the PDF.

I'll be watching both today and am really interested in what Phil has to say about the CBS special and what they revealed, if he does.

One other thing - The Ramseys certainly knew when JB died b/c they had 12/25 put on her tombstone, not the 26th.

I'm inclined to believe, if Burke killed her and it sure points to him, that his rage wasn't about Xmas gifts, being he was a 9 yr old boy, her being a 6 yr old girl and I would think her girly gifts wouldn't be an issue for him, but something a lot deeper.....

Here is an opinion - it's wrong to put makeup on a child of her age and strut her around like she's a young woman...

    Creepy....

What type of parents do that?

Parents like the Ramseys and there's a lot out there b/c these disgusting kiddie beauty pageants are still going on. I absolutely agree they're creepy and damaging to the little girls being taught to act 'sexy'

I've never been able to think of one good positive thing to say about kiddie beauty pageants.

Look, little girls (or kids in general) should be out playing with their friends - not doing that nasty crap...

You think those kids want to do that? hell no, their parents want that and it's sad.

??? What? You sound like you think I'm in favor of these pageants. I had clearly said I hate them. They are unhealthy, they don't build character in the little girls - instead they create self-centered, shallow young women who believes life is just all about them and their pretty faces, etc........

Good question and that's still a mystery. IIRC, they said there were a few spots of blood on her panties.

First off ... Let's BEE 4 Real.Having watched every Perry Mason episode
it is obvious.Rich or wealthy or well to do people do commit Crime and
murder. And usually the motive centers around Money. Money or some form
    of cover-up.Jon Benet was never solved because the Parents { were rich }
got involved early. That is why a crime scene is roped off.To keep from
contaminating the crime scene. The average murder mystery hound like me,
were left with nothing to go on w/Jon Benet.I think that could have been
the plan of the guilty party. That was a key feature in many a Perry Mason
    mystery crime. The Cover-up.
In fact,I'd go further.Used to be most murder was done by the upper class.
Again ... in order to cover-up. The Lower class in History was having a hard
enough time just surviving. That didn't have the ability to craft elaborate excuses
    and hire fancy lawyers.

What ? little or no interest in the very unusual behavior of the Parents.
They're { The Ramsey's } very first act was to seek out a lawyer and
then refuse to be questioned by the authorities.Eventually they did.
But not their initial reaction.I always felt the father was a creep.
An uppity somewhat know-it-all country club snob. Those were the usual
characters in the original Perry Mason series of the late 50's early 60's.
Uppity rich types.I trust the thinking goes, they feel above it all.
They aren't used to be questioned by the Cops let alone charged.
They're not about to start now, merely due to a death.
They exist in a world of priviledge and safeguards.
That is/was the world of the Ramsey's.
Obviously taken to the extreme we now have the World of
Bill Cosby to deal with.Where he has been existing in a world of lawyers
who can get him cleared of most anything.Buy off witnesses or use
lawyerly ways to threathen with defamation.

After watching the CBS special on the Ramsey case, where a team of experts examined everything and they didn't leave a stone unturned, I am convinced that the killer was the 9 yr old brother, Burke.

20 yrs ago when this happened and what we learned about it then, I had always believed the parents knew who killed their daughter and that 'ransom' note was not written by a stranger, but by one of the Ramseys, most likely Patsy and the experts proved that to be true. The choice of words in it spoke volumes that it was a woman writer and it was her hand writing......

That 4-hr investigation program was fascinating and sure brought to light how horribly botched up the investigation was by the PD, but then they were told at the beginning to treat the Ramseys w/kid gloves and that putrid DA Alex Hunter certainly did. The grand jury voted to indict the Ramseys, but he refused to.......so they walked, free as birds.

If the Ramseys had gotten help for their son after he killed his sister w/the flashlight and it may have been unintentional, good chance he'd be a lot better off today. Just watching him in the Dr. Phil interview creeped me out w/that persistent little smile - like a smirk - always on his face. Phil said it was 'anxiety'......I say 'baloney!'....

I'd like to know what Phil thinks of this investigation and what they uncovered. Hope he voices his opinion about it.

If the brother who was older than Jon Benet by a few years did
hurt her intentionally it would not be considered a criminal act.
Because a minor that young { 9,10yrs. old } is not responsible for their
actions. The Parents are { the official guardians of their brood }.
The child would have to undergo psychiatric tests to determine state of
mind.Incorrigible minors of a certain age are sent off to Juvenile detention
or what was once known as Reform School.Where they face all kinds of
bad influences, especially from the Guards.Like in the Great Movie ... :
-- Sleepers - { 1996 } where 4 young boys get sent off to reform school
for pulling a prank on a Hot Dog Vendor. The boys lives were dramatically changed due
    the Reform School experience.
I think Charles Manson once complained about how it was in Reform School
where he learned that a criminal life was not so awfull.Having been to Boys Town
and Indiana Juvenile center where he escaped from both.At 13 was sent to Indiana
    Boys school.
The Ramseys could have felt that any kind of attention drawn to their son
could lead down a path that was irredeemable. But then that requires much thougt.
The Ramsey's acted very quickly after whatever happened to Jon Benet.

I believe there was all sorts of abnormal activity in the life and death of Jon Bennet Ramsey.

I believe the local police tainted the case being complicit with her parents, I also think there was a final unknown subject that murdered the girl, I think the brother witnessed the murder and knows his identity.

I think there was ongoing sexual abuse of both children and the surviving brother is a victim as well as an accomplice of sorts.

Bull(*)(*)(*)(*).....by the age of 7, the average child has reached the age of reason and understanding. They KNOW right from wrong, but it's up to the parents as to how much they will allow their kid to get by w/stuff that should not be tolerated.

When a 9 yr old boy picks up a heavy flashlight and swings it at his 6 yr old sister's head, causing injury/death.... that's intentional b/c he knew exactly what he was doing.....

A family friend of the Ramseys was interviewed and said one day she was visiting w/Patsy and saw an ugly bruise on JonBonet's cheek and asked Patsy what happened. Patsy told her exactly what happened. She admitted to the friend that Burke has a bad temper. He was playing w/a golf club, got mad at his sister and swung the golf club at the girl, striking her in the face.......

When a 9 yr old gets that angry and will swing a potentially dangerous weapon at a 6 yr old, if the parents had any common sense, they'd get that 9 yr old psychiatric help b/c there's something brewing in his brain that's not normal. Of course, siblings get mad at each other, but there's a big difference b/t getting mad vs flying out of control.

Well, you're entitled to your opinion, of course - but you should have watched the CBS special on what this team of experts uncovered. One of the team member's was Henry Lee, one of the world's foremost forensic scientists........

Henry Lee is a hack. Was used in the O.J. Trial. He can barely be understood.
He also loves to smile when answering a question on the stand.I wouldn't let
dat guy within 2 country miles of any case I was involved with. He's a paid
stooge.OJ proved that. Most famous Forensics guys bill for their services and
make oddles of dough just for pointing out ordinary stuff. He said on the *OJ stand
that 95 % of his work is done for the Prosecution.Only 5 % for the Defense.
yet he helped the OJ Dream Team git the guy off.

    * Questioned by another OJ Dream teamer { Barry Sheck }.

THIS IS NOT ABOUT OJ! Can't you at least TRY to stay focused?

If you don't 'approve' of Henry Lee, no one cares, but the man is an expert in forensic science..that's a FACT, whether you like it or not!
