Leave them alone. Hope North Koreans who want out get out. If they do not that's sad but unavoidable.

War is the primary enemy of liberty. In an effort to protect liberty everywhere you will destroy your own liberty at home. It is better that it exists somewhere than to fight for it everywhere.

Why in the hell would SK disarm? The threat is and always has been the North. Had the North used their nuclear research money to develop their agricultural system they wouldn't be hungry.

Most libs have and unhealthy fixation with the Orangeman cause they have assorted issues with his character flaws,Politics, lifestyle or any other number of real and invented reasons. But you appear to perhaps have some other fixation with the orangemen.

Trump is an evil sob and most of the world knows it. My lifelong dedication to the Constitution and American values makes trump and anyone who supports him, my enemy. We have seen this sickness before and we have defeated it before.

And I'm not a liberal. I hate trump and his cult because I'm a true conservative. Hundreds of thousands of Americans have died to defeat what trump and his cult represent.

Though I will admit that every now and then, I have to wonder if people support trump simply because they are insanely stupid. I assume they too are evil but maybe this is home schooling and 3 decades of Fox noise coming home to roost.

In either case the US has been destroyed. Anyone who thinks this will pass is delusional. The heart of the nation has been attacked by the former president and his mob. No one takes patriotism to this country seriously anymore.

Trump envies dictators because he would like to be the dictator of the United States. Many of his followers would like that too.

Truthfully? I know a lot of Republicans (mainly serving or former military) who also detested Trump for the those same reasons (the real ones not any invented ones). And some of them voted Democrat at the last election for the first time in ages, if ever. Which doesn't means BTW that they will do so again in the future, just that that's how much they detested Trump's personal ethics and behavior as President when compared to the standards they were expected to uphold on a day to day basis while serving. Standards I might add they were quite proud of.

    .

    Is this even true ??

I can't imagine Kim Jong Un admitting it even if it were true... so I suspect some kind of psyops.

And by the same token, why in hell would Kim give up his nukes when there are missiles aiming at N. Korea, so he can end up like Ghadaffy and his nation like Libya? Ya gotta be joking?

Anyway there is a bit of sanity in that part of the world. South Korea is not willing to join the US pact against China.

Daffy was stupid, he pissed Hillary off. He also had a history of attacking US forces which gave her some cover. I agree we should have left him alone but the two situations are very different. NK was not threatened, they just wanted a place at the table. This isn't their first famine and it's their own doing just as it always has been.

If Kim didn't use their research money to develop nuclear weapons, N. Korea would have ended up like Libya but worse, since it would have been an existential threat to Russia and its major port of Vladisvostok. It's less than 100 miles from the N. Korean border, and its where Russia's ships its wheat and gas.

Kim's problems are the sanctions we like to impose on those who are not willing to bow to our wishes. But that's going to end. Our impositions and actions towards the world, cannot bode us well in the end.

I'm a child of the 50s, I remember Korea and the years from then to current time. If anyone was gonna take over NK one would think they would have had ample time to make their move pre-NK nukes. Their nukes today don't protect them any more than the threat they faced was ever real.

It means what we all know it means.
I found that North Korea is banned to export among things: wood, coal, electrical equipment, textile and stone.
So yeah. That would be collective punishing the entire population because it's government has nukes.
There are sweatshops all over South Korea, China, Taiwan, India, Bangladesh etc
But in NK they aren't allowed to made a t-shirt for us, so they can't make a living.
Even their fishing rights have been reduced. Because you know.. there is direct link between that and nuclear bombs.
(There is probably a flat earther somewhere who can make sense out of it)

Kim's problems are not the sanctions on North Korea. The problem of your average North Koreans are the sanctions on North Korea.
They aren't allowed to sell us clothes, lumber / furniture, radio's and other electronic equipment to make some money like everybody else in that area.

The amount of money spend on research has no impact in the amount of food a country is able to produce. I really fail to see some link in there.

What is stopping North Korea from selling to Russia, China or regimes friendly to those nations?

These sanctions are imposed on NK because UNSC says so. China and Russia are permanent members of it.
The US only added some more on them, as in... if a company breaks the sanctions, then it can't trade with the US.
And companies rather trade with the US since North Korea is rather poor and so they can't make that much money there.

Yes, I do. Sort of makes me wonder why you go on so much about the US when the only nations that have ever helped out North Korea are happy to let it rot. It is pretty clear where the problem for North Korea lies.

So the US is 'making' China & Russia sanction North Korea? Oh dear. How utterly detached from reality. I was considering typing a list of things the US has attempted to 'make' China & Russia do without success, but you will just handwave it.

Anyway, I figured that was buried somewhere in your posts, just wanted to get it out in the open.

Yup. Since individual companies are made by the US to make the decision of either trading with North Korea or US.
And since the US is a much bigger market where they can much more money, they just drop NK.
    I told you this before.
