Whatever left of the Mafiosi military would be totally destroyed....same as Black Sea fleet.

Whatever major sanctions that haven't been applied....will be.

Putler would be taken out....who knows what else?

Lukashenko in Belarus ...taken out ....and Belarus hit with airstrikes by NATO?

Calm down…do not count your chickens until they hatch. Never underestimate your enemy like Putin did. Like King George did. like Hitler did. One step at a time. Hey not original but old adages are old for a reason.

Just saying.....Putler could be getting all sorts of "info" right about now. And those few whom he gets it from may be telling him just what they ....WANT...him to hear.

Those few could have agendas of their own.

I was watching an infographics video clip on YouTube yesterday and it said that Ukrainian casualties are of equal numbers to Russian losses. And that's from a much smaller country. And Russia has plenty of men left. The most likely outcome is a stalemate.

I have to agree with you here and I'm mostly on the Ukrainian side. The propaganda is huge in this thread as is the circle jerk

There will not be any no fly zones installed

Piggy isn't the one to worry about. He is a businessman & a pragmatist. If he actually got to the top he'd be busy purging rivals and trying to cut a deal so that Russia stopped bleeding money (I doubt he cares about the actual bleeding) and let him bribe the population into accepting less than total victory.

I don't know who the other major players are, but I'm certain there are more scary ones than him. He wants power, not victory.

That is most likely correct, but if Putin drops a nuke or possibly melts down a nuclear power station sending fallout west NATO or certain NATO nations might reconsider. They have become steadily more engaged as the war has progressed. Even if NATO itself didn't want to commit, some nations might be prepared to go in if the US did. Air bases wouldn't be hard to find.

As I said, very, very low probability, but not out of the question.

The actual bleeding are the sanctions I would think....somehow I doubt those get removed in their entirety or at all.

But...yes, whomever the next unlucky yoyo gets to assume the Kremlin office....itc a case of trying to keep the ship from sinking further.......

In destroying Ukraine's dams, Putin is following in Stalin's footsteps

    Francis Dearnley
Tue, June 6, 2023 at 2:12 PM CDT

The destruction of the Kakhovka dam in Ukraine, seemingly by Russian forces, is being called the largest man-made disaster in Europe since Chernobyl in 1986, unleashing a flood of water across the war zone and putting more than 80 settlements, and 16,000 people, in danger.

Regrettably, the deliberate demolition of dams in war is far from uncommon; this is not the first time Ukraine has suffered so devastatingly. The decision of Stalin’s secret police to blow up the Zaporizhzhia dam in 1941 – only 150 kilometres away from Kakhovka and now the site of the synonymous nuclear power plant – is believed to have killed somewhere between 20,000 and 100,000 people. It was motivated by the same intention: to stall the enemy advance. Indeed, the timing of Tuesday’s attack on Kakhovka can be no coincidence, impeding the Ukrainian counter-offensive just 24 hours after Kyiv began probing various points across the front.

In 1941, the demolition was apocalyptic. “People were screaming for help. Cows were mooing, pigs were squealing. People were climbing on trees”, one survivor recalled. Early reports suggest there are few human casualties from Tuesday’s attack, but thousands of animals will have perished, and the environmental consequences will be felt for decades.

When the invader wave Soviet flags around and all that, you know they mean it. Putin is out to make Russia USSR again. And not just USSR, but Stalinist USSR specifically. And not just Russia, but Ukraine as well. And no doubt Poland and the Baltics at some point in future if he is not stopped.

Even if the sanctions are still on just stopping the huge expenditure on the war would help. If the fighting dies down it will be harder to enforce the sanctions. They will still hurt, but less.

Or following in Britain's footsteps. The "Dam Busters" are still looked upon as heros. The air crew and the inventor of the "bouncing bomb" were given many honours.
