It seems like a nice place. Check out some of these excerpts from the official Kenyan World Guide:

Now, doesn't a safari sound like fun?

I guess if you're not the outdoors type, restaurants and cinemas would be more your speed.

Or, something in between like a park or museum. You may even visit the birthplace of barak obama. Not his father, but the one currently occupying the office of the President of the US.

Kenya is just full of surprises. Call your travel agent today.

Whoever wrote that guide needs to recheck their information.

Kenya is a little busy right now, dealing with the hundreds of thousands of starving famine victims migrating in from the Horn of Africa. Maybe we could help out too.

They updated the site this morning. I have a screen shot on my home computer.
I guess someone told them what would happen if the truth got out.

Wasn't suggesting you were being disingenuous. Just noting the state.

I'm actually heading to Mount Kenya in January. A climbers paradise.

Fishing, hunting, and climbing are my three enjoyable hobbies, so to speak. Gets me out doors with friends and is a great work out. We did Mount Hood last year.

As often as I can. I have a wife and kid so free time is a little more limited these days. I'll do a couple trips to West Virginia every year, and a few local Ohio spots, but I've only taken 4 major trips so far. 2 to Mount Hood, 1 to San Jacinto, and once to Charleston Peak.

You've got Mount Mitchell in North Carolina, which is supposed to be pretty nice.

    Oh it is...

I've been there, but, I was like 12...

    But, it's REALLY nice...

    And it's HUGE...

I may climb that one day, if it's possible...

Soon as I get back home...

    In 11 years...lol

Make sure you take plenty of photos for your Africa trip. Interested in seeing those.

Will do. Wish it was a bit closer but this climb had some major weather factors involved, so it's still 6 months out.

Well whatever you do, just be careful so you can come back in one piece and not in a pine box.
